Best Western Plus Kansas City Airport-KCI East

Compared to other Best Western Plus's I've been to, this location was not really a "plus" experience. The breakfast had few hot items, and the room I stayed in had many sign of wear. Also, the mini-fridge in my room did not work well and couldn't keep my food cold, which was difficult considering that we often expect hotels to have a working mini-fridge to keep items cool.

If you enjoy your sleep and want a place that is clean and smells good do not book this hotel. All night long people are up slamming doors, screaming and have their dogs barking. Carpet is nasty inside the rooms and hotel smells like dirty dog.

My kids waited all morning to go to the pool while we got packed. Went down to the pool and got told we couldn’t go in because they were taking pictures. Because taking pictures to attract guests is more important than actual guests using the amenities. We chose the hotel for the pool and never got to use it. Ridiculous.

Flight was delayed by 3 hours (way after midnight) so we called the hotel to make sure we still had a room on reserve and they said yes. Got to the hotel and door was lock. No buzzer. Called the direct line to the hotel and no answer. Called over and over until they finally answered. Guy was unprofessional and was only interested in explaining the pet policy, which didn’t apply to us! Room was supposedly a suite…. Dirty carpet, old everything, a flattened, used shampoo bottle, no fridge, and no coffee pot. Not worth the price and will never stay here again!

Hallways were very loud. Very frustrating trying to sleep then there goes other guests running thru halls at late hours. Customer Service was good. TV took a while to figure out as it was on a bad channel and wouldn't respond.

The rooms were clean and fairly comfortable. The front desk service was great and the morning breakfast was delightful, despite the clear lack of seating for all the guests. The only real downside is the hardness of the beds, but my stay was overall satisfactory.

Hotel was a good value, clean, well located with excellent service and well trained staff. I did have some issues with noise from the floor above and the room beside me but seemed to be from younger children playing. There was only pork offered for a protein option at breakfast.

This is a very nice hotel. Friendly staff. Breakfast area is larger than most hotels. Rooms are awesome and clean. Bed was comfortable. Needed a place to stay while in Kansas City for the night. Have stayed at other Best Westerns before, but this one seems to be the nicer one. Love the rooms! If the opportunity arises I will stay at this hotel again.

The front desk lady was amazing and so sweet. The room was so comfortable. Felt safe and like we were at home. The bed was amazing! Would stay there again!

Check in clerk wasn't very friendly or helpful. No mention was made about the elevator not working. Rooms are nice except for the design around the bathroom. Closet is blocked off by the bathroom door and the hallway is extremely narrow. Good points, beds are firm, room was always cleaned very well and the breakfast is good.

Hallway outside of our room feels like a sauna. The lobby floors, main floor hallway and elevator floors are filthy. The pool needs some TLC and the breakfast is mediocre at best. We usually love staying at the Best Western chain, but this location has been very below average. I will say our bed is comfortable and our room is clean.

I used customer service so I could book by phone while driving. Pleased with my room, but 15 min in room front desk called to ask if room was satisfactory. This made me feel suspicious like maybe someone else had complained about earlier. I did enjoy that the hotel did not smell like cigarettes or pot. Location was close to airport which is what I needed

Just a quick stay here after getting in from KCI on a late flight. Front desk staff were friendly, easy check in. Room was large, clean, bed was very comfortable, I slept like a rock. Breakfast in the morning was great, lots of hot options, good coffee. Quick check out process. Overall, very satisfied.

Our stay here was very nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. We were able to use the pool for a bit, which was kid friendly and appeared clean. The hotel is pet friendly. I didn't have any issues with my pooch. The continental breakfast is standard; however, this one also included some delicious breakfast burritos! Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

Has good breakfast and the rooms were clean. Beds were a little hard though! I woke up with a sore back! Amenities were nice in the rooms!

Our room was warm and so was our floor. The hallway ac was extremely loud. Our bathroom was hot and the vent was closed with a broken off handle. Room was adequate otherwise and so was the free breakfast. One slow elevator on the opposite side of the hotel from our room. Decent for the price, but nothing to recommend.

Attentive staff, especially the general manager. Clean hotel and nice breakfast with a lot of variety.
