Betty Rae's Ice Cream reviews
20Ice cream choices were unique and the prices are pretty fair for what you get, overall a pretty good ice cream place I would recommend it over any basic chain style ice cream. Staff was also very friendly and patient.
First timers. Ordered a marshmallow fluff sundae but was told after I paid they were out of the fluff, and still got charged for it. I would've order something else if that was the case. Other than that the ice cream was good just a bummer the girl who took my order could've gave a heads about the fluff and her customer services skills is not very friendly!
Great ice cream and nice little spot. Indoor and outdoor seating. Recommend if you’re wanting some really tasty ice cream and treats!
Unfortunately I can not accurately review the taste of the ice cream I had tonight because it was served to me in a HOT waffle cone and was melting so fast I could not finish it. It dripped all over my hand, the floor and my pants. I ended up throwing it away because the ice cream had essentially turned into soup and the cone was a soggy mess. Not sure I am willing to stand in their long line to try again.
Amazing ice cream flavors! Glad I stumbled upon this place while in town. I went twice in a three day trip and tried almost all the flavors. My favorite was the Cherry Chocolate Cake and Pumpkin Cheesecake. But, to be honest they were all fantastic!
Really enjoyed our drop in on a terrifically hot day. Fantastic unique selection, sizes were proportionate to price. The house-made cone is fantastic!
They had some really good seating within the cafe but a lot of people were lingering. But if you went out the door in the back, there was some decent shade to lick up your treat.
Best ice cream in the Midwest! Fast service and friendly staff. Put this place on your places to go when in the River Market. It will not disappoint.
Love the helpful staff at both locations.
We just had the brownie Sundae at the river market location and I would recommend that over the waffle cone.costs a couple dollars more but it's so worth it! I didn't have to lick ice cream off my arm.great atmosphere for relaxing with friends too.
Waffle cone or go home <3 coffee ice cream was the best I've ever had. Will definitely come back the next time I'm in the area.
My ice cream tasted pretty good. But I’m pretty sure I have had better ice cream from a grocery store. Mine also had many large chunks of ice in it.
Place is good and lots of options for cool ice cream. We tried Sunday and Waffel come, brownies are so hard to eat, they must warm to make them soft.
Nice assortment of artisan flavors like pumpkin cheesecake and lavender honey as well as good staples. Definitely a new favorite with good quality. This and Glacé are my fancy ice cream go tos.
Very cool ice cream shop downtown. They even have an old fashioned photo booth! Eat inside along a wall of ice cream album covers or outside on the patio. I had the blueberry lavender lemonade and hubby had the nutty professor.
Very disappointed! Ordered a build your own sundae! And didn’t get to pick my own ice cream. Didn’t even ask! He just slapped vanilla in there! Weakly drizzled some hot fudge that isn’t even hot and had no whipped cream! Definitely not worth the wait! I dig the waldo store though! They did it right!
Customer service was honestly very poor. It was my first time there and they were mad to have to explain how their sizes and ordering worked. I also had a small puppy with me and they said he was not allowed inside. Understandable, so my bf waited outside with the pup. Just walked by today and guess what I see a huge dog inside. Plus the ice cream was not even worth it so 0 stars if I could.
The best freakin ice cream I've ever had since my trip to Mt Rushmore. Seriously delicious! Better than any flavors that Ben or Jerry could come up with. Lol. The staff is great as well, extremely helpful with samples and efficient with everyone's orders.
Large scoops, flavorful ice cream, fresh cones
The inside is, visually, a little bit busy, but it's what a friend of mine might call a vibe
The ice cream is fantastic, but I highly recommend getting waffle bowl or cone. It will make the experience even better.
Love this location! Beautiful exterior mural by a local artist and nice outdoor seating. Located near the city market and on the street car line. I’ve gotten the goat cheese, apricot, and candied walnut ice cream the last two times I’ve gone with one of their freshly made waffle cones!
OMG this place is heaven on earth for all us Ice Cream Afficianados. I should have taken a picture but I went on a Sunday early evening and there was a line out the door, out the patio into the street that ended around the corner.
So take that as a sign this place is not to be missed.
I love the out door patio, I love their ice cream menu and the space is very unique and Instagram worthy
