Big Bowl Pho, Kansas City MO

Bad, did not like it, the meat to thick, chunks of meat, and the noodles did not look like the original noodles.

We were looking for a good Asian restaurant to dine in when we were around this area. The food portion is very satisfying (pho came with a GIANT bowl). The shrimp fried rice was a HIT for my kids. We also ordered egg noodles soup with wontons and beef meatball pho. Both pho soup base were really tasty, if only the meat could be cooked not so well done. I would have given them 5 stars instead of 4. Overall, it was a good experience. We would stop by next time if we were around this area again.

One of the best pho broths I have ever tasted. And I've had pho from coast to coast. Please do not change your recipe. The service was fast and friendly too

This is my honest OPINION AND EXPERIENCED.

I’ve been eating here multiple times, but this time during my birthday. It was November that night, the lady keep messing up my order, Lee forgetting to give us drinks and silverware to use. The Fried rice is so dry, and my soup taste funny that time. Our waitress never checked on us after she found out that she messed up our order. We asked for a to go container, but she never give us a bag even though she saw us walking out holding the container of food. When we heat up my soup at home we found a small COCKROACH in the bottom of the container. I threw up and felt sick after seeing that.

CONS: Waitress attitude so rude when she found out we only gave her a small tip, due to bad service. Unsanitary food handling (COCKROACH).

Really dropped in quality from how it used to be. Food tasted greasy and overcooked. I hope they get back to the quality they had a decade ago.

I would leave zero stars if I could. The food is not even close to authentic. Terrible customer service.

I’m all for places having their own spin on things IF they work. They don’t here.
The spring rolls had chicken breast meat in them that clashed with the rest of the flavors.
The Pad Thai seemed to have red food coloring added for some reason OR they use ketchup in it since it did taste that way somewhat. Very odd rendition of a classic dish. Was also sweet which is not normal.
The Lhad Na is typically a favorite in our family. This one was outrageously sweet. My kid’s face was priceless when he took a bite, his eyes got big and he remarked it was “like candy, ” which it really was. Loaded with brown sugar it seems. We could not finish it.
No peanuts on the Pad Thai. No sprouts or basil with our Pho bowl, and it too was sugared up. Food is loaded with MSG.
This is bottom barrel Asian food my friends. Americanized Asian fare is curious enough but this place takes it further yet and sugars things up to play off America’s sugar addiction.
Hard pass if you have any culinary discernment.

Not very Thai or Vietnamese tasting dishes. They taste more like American copies of the authentic thing. To be brutally honest, the Pho was the second worst I have had in my life. It tasted like someone pretended to make Pho.wrong noodles, missing all the right flavors and aromas. Sad, because the menu looks sooo good! It work it, folks.

Really enjoyed my Thai rice and pho from here. New to the area happy to find this spot. Definitely will be returning.

I've been here a few times now and so far so good. Good service, great food, large portions and reasonable prices keep me coming back. My one recommendation would be to be careful what you wish for when choosing a heat level for your item. I like spicy food, but their medium heat is as far as I'm willing to go

Sub par food. My garlic stir fry was primarily carrots with four pieces of broccoli and a little meat. There was no garlic flavor and the watery sauce just tasted vaguely like beef.

The food here is so good and always fabulous service. The portions are huge so you can always count on leftovers.

Really good pho! Stopped here on vacation at the recommendation of the hotel staff. Not too crowded and the selection was impressive.

We split the pot stickers, I got the beef pho and hubby got the sukiaki (not sure on the spelling). The broth was super flavorful in both our dishes.

I do wish the meat was cut either into smaller pieces or thinner because it was a bit chewy and hard to get through with the chop sticks.

Beef Pho was amazing there, would highly recommend trying it. They have other kinds but haven't had a chance to try them as i always get the beef lol Had the small bowl and couldn't help but ask for seconds so I recommend getting the large since its really good.

Really enjoyed coming here especially during the evening when the dining area has a very neo-noir dimly lit ambience. The mix of appetizers and then the wonton noodle soup was a very good combo.

This place never disappoints. Took my daughter in yesterday for her first visit and the food was amazing in her words. They were understaffed and very busy. However service and quality of food was outstanding. She had the yellow curry with shrimp and I enjoyed a regular size bowl of beef pho. You can't go wrong here.
