Big Don and Son Music City reviews
8If Don don't have what you need, he will go out of his way to help you find what your looking for.
Big Don's was a great music store. Their prices were reasonable and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend it.
Don has always done ne right and has stayed in business and true to his customers for decades!
He is my GO TO GUY now!
I went in there a few years back. I was wanting to learn to play electric guitar. I took in a used amp that worked when I bought it from an individual. When I showed up to pick up the amp, the son told me he had rebuilt it (it looked like nothing had been done to it, still had cracked plastic around cable plug in). So I plugged in my cable to the amp and my guitar and nothing happened. Turned out it was just a bad cable. I still got charged for the amp. I had told the guy I was wanting to learn guitar and knew nothing about them.
I bought an acoustic ibanez from them years ago. Around 2002 or 2003. Was treated good and still got my ol girl. Havent been back to them since i got it but i need to. Love checking out all the guitars drums keyboards and stuff. Wish i could play more than a guitar i would die happy in that place hocking myself deep in debt for all the awesome stuff they have. Lol
The gentleman seemed I'll informed of his stock, and was fairly rude. The location is moving to another area soon.
The owner is a real guitar guy instead of a Guitar Center employee. The shop also has affordable, real-world instruments and amps rather than shiny wallhangers. The building is old, but that probably keeps posers away.
This place looks a little sketch but the deals are solid and the owner is a cool guy. Don't expect guitar center selection but you don't get GC attitude either.
