Paid $22 for 2 smoothies at-least you could do is fill it up all the way when I asked about it the guy said that’s how it supposed to be. Also blend it for less time or don’t add so much liquid because it’s not smoothie consistency.

Check out the menu online before you go so you don’t have to take up time looking in line. Everything looks good so it’s hard to choose. You walk in and go order. They give you a number and then you’ll find a seat. They will bring the food to you. All the water and silverware are by the bar.
Bakery items just wait to get until after your done eating. Unless there isn’t many left then grab it. Once it’s gone it is gone for the day. They rotate what times they have all the time so there’s always something new to try.
Great gluten free options as well.
Definitely will be back again and again.
They also have some cooking classes you can take.
Staff is knowledgeable of the menu and so helpful with helping you make a decision and feel welcome.

Great food… can’t emphasize that enough. Even if it sounds kinda funky on the menu it tastes absolutely amazing! Any time of day.

My wife and live near the newest instance of Billie’s Grocery, and went there for dinner yesterday evening. As a perusal of their website informs us, their menu features health-oriented fashion-forward (for menus) food, much of the gluten-free genre.

The space immediately recalls to mind cafeterias—it’s very open, very monochromatic (somebody really likes white), and, unsurprisingly, a Scandinavian, Ikea motif. On a cold winter evening, a cold decor suggesting a Norwegian warehouse cafeteria isn’t the theme I’d wanna be working with, but there it is.

We had one of their handhelds—my choice of a Spicy Korean chicken wrap—and a CarnitasBowl, the name of which instantly brought to my mind my go-to Chipotle order. We each sampled the other’s. As for the Carnitas Bowl, well, Chipotle wins, hands down. Billie’s version wasn’t bad, but there was little about it that sought to pull it out of generic pulled pork in a bowl.

The Spicy Korean Chicken Wrap wasn’t that good. It was accompanied by a bit too spicy aioli sauce, and the chicken and lettuce (and little else) were bedded atop a disproportionately large serving of rice, making it all too easy to get a mouthful of a gluten-free wrap and plain rice. The whole thing was thrown under the boss by an oddly unpleasant herbaceous flavor permeating the wrap’s other ingredients.

They also offer desserts, almost all of which are gluten-free baked goods. The pecan bar was... Not great. The pecan topping was good, but the “shortbread” base was bland, and didn’t hold together well. The oatmeal cream pie cookie sandwich was somewhat dry, with the sandy gluten-free texture too commonly found in that universe, but with good flavor, and a very nice cream filling.

The service was very good to excellent. The personnel outdid the food.

Went to Billie's for the second time for brunch with some friends. Always a good time. The interior is clean and inviting, with various seating options.
Good pastry/sweets options as well especially for gluten free options.
Food is always good with healthy portions. They have some interesting lattes. I tried the shroomunity latte and it was decent. Friendly staff members too!

The cashier was a little snooty. That is the ONLY negative thing I have to say about them. I highly recommend this place! The food is phenomenal. It's a little pricey but well worth it!

Great vibes! Food and coffee was pretty good and staff was great but the pastry I got this particular time was not excellent. Would 100% come back and recommend it tho!

Love this place. Need to eat Gluten free and this place delivers on that. Spouse has this diet restriction and there is so much availability. Non Gluten free options also exist. Plenty of flavor for everyone. Food is so delicious, you won't be disappointed!

I cannot say enough good things about Billie's Grocery in Kansas City! This place is an absolute gem and deserves every bit of its 5-star rating. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warmth and friendliness by the staff.

The selection of products at Billie's Grocery is top-notch. They carry a wide variety of fresh produce, high-quality meats, and an extensive range of pantry staples. Whether you're looking for something specific or just browsing, you'll find everything you need here.

What truly sets Billie's Grocery apart is the dedication to quality. The fruits and vegetables are always fresh and delicious, and I've never been disappointed with the quality of their meats. It's evident that they take great care in sourcing their products.

The prices are competitive, and they often have fantastic sales and promotions. I appreciate that they cater to various budgets, making it accessible to everyone in the community.

Cleanliness and organization are also top priorities here. The store is always spotless, and shelves are neatly stocked. It makes shopping a breeze and a pleasure.

The staff members are incredibly helpful and friendly. They go above and beyond to assist you and provide guidance if needed. It's evident that they genuinely care about their customers.

Me and 6 family members ate lunch here after my father in law’s graveside service. The food was delicious and we were all excited about the healthy, gluten free menu options. There is no table monitoring so many folks simply sat down prior to ordering. We had to stand and eat at the bar. Another customer sat at a table the entire time (40 min) waiting for her family to arrive and she had not even ordered. I confirmed her by asking if she had ordered. We politely mentioned the situation to staff initially and then later to Billy the manager and the response was apathetic.

Absolutely fantastic. From great pastries to healthy food options to some unique items to shop from, this place has it all. With an extensive list of ambitious menu items, I suspect that this place does *several* things well. Often busy and with a small parking lot, you may not get premium parking, but definitely worth the trip—and we didn’t have to wait to be seated. To drink, I had the shroomunity latte, which I loved. The flavor and texture really hit the spot. To eat, I had the crab scramble. I didn’t really get a taste of crab, but it was so good I didn’t even mind. The egg and English muffin underneath were perfectly cooked and the spicy mayo is something I will dream about.
Before leaving, we enjoyed shopping some of their spirit free alcohol options, probiotic sodas, and flowers. We’ll certainly return!

What I enjoyed: many things. Friendly service, great atmosphere, food quality, healthy options

What could be better: there wasn’t much love in the hash browns that came with my entree but overall not bad. Also, my wife and I’s food arrived at significantly different times, which wasn’t ideal.

Highly recommend!

I love this place so much. Healthy and delicious, sign me up! The Turkish Eggs + Grilled Halloumi and the Beet Root Veggie Burger are out of this world.

Good food, really tasty treats (pastries, cookies, cakes, etc.), meh seating, and truly atrocious parking.

With a profound love for the downtown location, we made a date with dear friends, to try the Leawood location. We arrived first. To our surprise the two tables we chose were food dirty. So I got water from the water station and cleaned one. Our friends arrived. We had 2 nice warm pita apps. Then we ordered food and glasses of wine. In a few minutes, wait staff informed us they didn’t have a cork screw, to open the Pinot noir, so would a Malbec work…my sushi bowls was delightful, while the Thai bowl was runny/TOO much water, pork bowl was okay and one half of the wrap was left uneaten. Pretty much a disappointING experience. Maybe they have kinks to workout, so we’ll give them months to do so.

We’d heard about the original Billie’s Grocery in KCMO from friends so were excited when they started a second location. We didn’t really know what to expect and actually couldn’t picture where they could be in Ranchmart. We found it and it has what I think is a big city metro vibe for the suburbs. It’s a fun atmosphere with first-rate food options. It’s not cheap but I would say worth the visit to enjoy the experience. We would certainly return.

The place is very cozy, and the service is great; however, I just arrived, and they don't have mocha coffee (surprisingly, they didn't have chocolate). I opted for strawberry frozen, but they didn't have that either, so I changed my order again to strawberry lemonade, and they didn't have that either! I was surprised that on a Sunday, they didn't have three basic items on the menu. When my order arrived, they brought the wrong one, and I had to wait an additional 25 minutes for them to bring the correct order.
