Blue Springs Animal Hospital & Pet Resort reviews
19I always get the best care for my pets at Blue Springs Animal Hospital! Excellent care, follow up, and results!
We have used Dr. Rodier for two TPLO surgeries on our big Labrador. He has always worked with us and our dog never acts scared coming here, which is great. We recommend him to anyone needing a surgeon.
I had a senior cat with a lot of health problems. We had Dr. Ryder on speed dial! He is a very attentive doctor and spends enough time as you need talking. I never feel rushed. I have 2 new shelter adopted kitties. I would never go anywhere else.
They are so nice my pets love going for their shots lol. My bunny had a great experience too!
We switched to BSAH in 2020 and were so impressed. We now have a new puppy and wouldn't even think of taking him anywhere else. All the staff are wonderful and Dr. Ryder is amazing!
Staff is incredibly helpful, kind, and actually wanting to help! My dog was very sick.blood coming out of both ends sick: (. They got her in right away and didn't try and "sell" be a bunch of stuff like Petco tried to do. Night and day difference. Again they actually care, nothing but great things to say. Everyone's very knowledgeable. Thank you!
We took our brand new puppy here for his first check up. From the first encounter with the front office staff we felt welcomed and special. The vet techs were attentive and reassuring. Dr. O'Brien did a thorough exam and took time to give advice and answer questions - helping us navigate the first weeks of being proud puppy parents.
We had a great experience with Blue Springs Animal Hospital and Dr. Rodier, and would highly recommend them. Our 18 month old, 120 lb Great Dane had been limping and my vet suspected a torn CCL. He suggested going to a specialty vet for an MRI, due to his size. When I took him in to the specialty vet, the surgeon spent 5 minutes with my dog, told me his CCL was torn, and that he needed a $6,000 TPLO surgery with a 12-14 week, difficult recovery. He didn’t bother reviewing the x-ray results or do an MRI, just a quick physical check on the knee.
I didn’t feel comfortable with that, and went to Dr. Rodier for a second opinion. He took his time working with my pup, looked at the x-rays, and suggested taking another round to see what was really going on. After a detailed review, he diagnosed that Stanley had a cracked tibia, and his knee was fine. His recommendation was 4-6 weeks of rest, with anti-inflammatories and pain meds. No surgery or extensive recovery for a large, hyper puppy. He also pointed out that if he’d tried to do the TPLO surgery, it would have gone very badly, due to the cracked tibia. After taking his advice and giving Stanley some time to heal, he’s no longer limping and is doing great on the knee.
We really appreciated that Dr. Rodier took the time to diagnose what was really going on, didn’t jump to a conclusion that led to a pricey surgery, and spared our large pup from 12 weeks of kennel time and a difficult recovery for a surgery he didn’t truly need. While we love our current vet and will continue going there, for anything that they can’t handle, Dr. Rodier and Blue Springs Animal Hospital will be our next call.
I was impressed at our first visit with the service, facility, staff and care shown for my pet. I've found our new vet!
If you’re searching for chemo treatment options for your pup, Blue Springs Animal Hospital is a great option! We went to Dr. Ryder for several months for my dog’s chemo treatment for lymphoma. Dr. Ryder was very informative, professional, and he truly cares about the animals. He provided lots of information about the medications and potential outcomes or side effects which was great. The treatment did extend my dog’s life for about 9 months after diagnosis, so very thankful for that extra time we got with him. Every dog responds differently to chemo treatment and Dr. Ryder explained that very well along with many other details so we were well informed throughout the entire process.
When it did come time to say goodbye, we were treated so well by the staff. The doctor who performed the euthanization was so gentle, professional, and comforting as you can be in that situation. It was such a tough experience to say goodbye but the doctor and techs made it very peaceful and as accommodating as possible. We are very thankful for the great team there!
This is the best vet and boarding place. We will always only bring out pets here. Thank you all for what you do.
Great staff, clean environment, reasonably priced. Trust them with the care of my fur babies
They have always gone the extra mile for me and my family. They treat the fur babies with extra love and care
I have never know a pet hospital that treated the pets and the owners with so much compassion and care. I will never entrust my pets to anyone else. Thank you BSAH.
BSAH has always been really great for our dogs. Today's visit was no exception. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. Our pups don't even freak out when they go to the vet-like they used to at other places. We highly recommend BSAH to anyone who has pets.
Very rude would not get my dog in who had an eye problem because I was not a current customer. They obviously had the time because my mom called and said they could get her and but once they realized it was for my pet they said I'm SOL but the other local company kavanaugh took good care of me I highly recommend using them
I can not say enough great things about this practice. From the front staff to the back with the techs, and let's not forget the doctors. Dr. Nye and Foudree are just amazing, knowledgeable, and great. I will not go any place else for my Frenchies.
They have Always been pleasant and so easy to work with when it came to my furry babies. Our Harley was really sick, almost didn’t make it. The vet, and his staff were nothing but the kindness. I felt their compassion throughout Harleys difficult time.
She doing Great, we are nothing but grateful!
Knowledgeable and excellent service. I have a rescue puppy that got a staph infection, probably picked up from the kennel, they diagnosed it and had the antibiotics I needed.
