Blue Springs Lake Campground reviews
18The grounds are quiet, safe, and well managed. Great freeway access and close to everything.groceries, entertainment, restaurants. Great bathhouse size and cleanliness. Camping neighbors were friendly and respectful. There were a lot of lights on at night which made it harder to see stars.
Nice campsite lots of meadow and trees. Large pitches. Shadow and sun pitches. 20 minutes to Kansas City. We have about 32 dollars with electricity on site or water and you can dump. Ideal for dogs because it has a lot of meadow terrain.
Great little camp ground to stay. The camp hosts were great to work with and had a great nights stay
It was a nice spot, lots of nice trees. The bathroom was clean enough, and our site specifically had a little liter, but nothing we couldn't help gather. Overall, a great and safe experience.
It's not directly attached to the lake as it appears in the listing.
What a lovely spot on a long sojourn. Staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our visit
We enjoyed this nice campground. We were in site 51 and it was more than adequate for our 44’ class a with toad easily parked in front. We had full hookups including sewer and 50 amp.
We were here when temps were pushing 100+ every day.
It was about 30 minutes from U. M. K. C. Where our son teaches.
We did not use but did visit a kids playground and the swim lake as our grandkids might visit on a return trip.
SHE’S DEAD! I’VE BEEN TRYING FOR MONTHS TO GET HER BACK. MONTHS. THEY CAKKED THE POLICE ON ME WHEN TRIED TO GET HER. NOW, INSTEAD SHE’S FOUND DEAD, HIT BY A CAR YESTERDAY MORNING.
Blue springs campground is a surprisingly quiet, peaceful campground in a fairly heavily populated area. It is within 5 to 10 minutes of Cable Dahmer Arena and close to good shopping and many restaurants. We've camped here several times and had a pleasant experience every time. The bathrooms and showers have been neat and clean every time.
Love this place. We actually live in Blue Springs and will get the camper out and cone here just to get away lol. Great attractions all around with only being a short drive into downtown KC, plus the lake etc.
What a rip off. No real trails. The beach isn’t included in your stay (and costs a whopping $9 per person for a basic beach). Given the above-average price tag, this place is not worth it. I guess it’s clean and has a playground but that’s it. Very disappointing.
Very nicely kept, quiet, hosts are very friendly polite and helpful. We enjoyed our 5 day stay!
Beautiful park to camp in! Close to the lake to fish. We saw lots of wildlife and the staff are super friendly!
Very well kept park. Facilities are very clean. Sites are not all level and bring your own hand soap to the washroom but we give this place thumbs up.
Horrible customer service! I reserved a FHU site and upon arrival they said the sites sewer is broken. Instead of offering a premier site (which they had plenty available) or refunding us some money since our site is technically only a water and electric now. They took our money and said screw you! That’s not the camper way.
The campground is beautiful. Accommodations are great. Our site was great and had perfect shading. However, the guy who runs the gate needs an attitude adjustment. He was super hateful when we asked questions. His wife was very nice, but he would make us not want to come back to this campground. He came flying over to our campground, super hateful about when we needed to check out. Our baseball team reserved multiple sites, but because of that man we will not be back! Social skills & appropriate communication skills are a must when running a business. Jackson County, you may want to rethink who you are allowing to run the Blue Springs Campground. Too bad because it’s a beautiful campground, but no one wants to deal with a crabby old man!
Very nice attendants. Nice bathrooms very very clean and clean showers good pressure and hot water. Camps grounds are not very level and r was lot close together. All night you only hear traffic as its right on the highway. We go a lot but if you are looking for peaceful it’s not the place. Also you have to pay 10.00 to swim.
Really nice campground, but the guy running it is super rude. His wife is nice, but I won't come back and be talked to the way that guy talked to a group of us. We brought 6 campers rented 6 sites, and he was rude to everyone.
