We were there for 5 hours, it was tough waiting an hour for my pup to be seen and then get answers etc. But in those hours I saw 2 dogs have to be put down and cat that came in that had been hit and passed on impact. What these workers go through in a day, I cant imagine doing it every day. I cried several times and they were not my animals, but you definitely saw the pain in their owners (hence the crying). It was really pricy and we couldnt afford it, but it is what it is when your animal is sick. I commend the people that work there and blessed they were there for us. I definitely recommend going there when you animal is emergent.

We unexpectedly lost our sweet 8-1/2 yo doberman, Frank, at home this past Sat. She was diagnosed with DCM on Thursday and while we knew our remaining time with her would be short, we never expected it to be that short.
We were in shock and didn't know what to do when she passed. I called Blue Pearl and they were very empathetic and told us to bring her in and they would take care of the creamation process. When we arrived they had us go around back and were so caring and patient when they came out to get her and never made us feel rushed to leave.
The next day I told my husband I wish I would have had my wits about me to ask for her paw print. I was so surprised and grateful when I went to get the mail today and saw the card and prints they had sent.
It was our first visit to Blue Pearl and even though they didn't have a relationship with her they still understood how much she meant to us. I can't thank them enough!

I am giving a 1 star, because of the price! I took my dog in and for them to give me only a diagnosis that cost $1200.00. I still had to take him to my vet and spent another $400.00.
The staff is nice, but blue pearl takes advantage of your emotions and knowing they are the only choice in Kansas city. They should be doing first steps to see if they find anything. My situation was after an exray
was completed they knew the problem, but added blood test etc. I am happy my dog was taken care of but, very unhappy with the extreme cost! I will not recommend! I do not agree with your statement below. I use to go to a different emergency vet, and never been charged 1200.00 for diagnostic only! I learned what to ask and what to allow. People ask questions before saying yes! They can do one test at a time.

Dr. Vieira and her staff are incredible. This is the second time we’ve visited, and we’re incredibly happy when we found out she was taking care of our baby. She and her staff are compassionate, caring, understanding, respectful and they truly love what they do. The staff is quick to update you on your animals progress, the plan, and quick to explain/answer any questions you have. You can trust that the staff at Blue Pearl with take care of your animals like they would their own, and that…. Puts a worried mama at ease. Thank you for taking such good care of our baby, and us.

My chihuahua was having an allergic reaction to his lepto shot, I called and since lived 45 mins away they wanted to help me over the phone. It was in our best interest to bring him in. When we got there the came out ASAP and got him. They took it very seriously.

Thank you, Lacy Allee, for taking good care of my boy, Indie. I told her my concerns for his illness, and she did not hesitate to order the right tests for him. She and the staff are WONDERFUL! Indie and I are so grateful.

We came in about 10 minutes before they closed with our cat that had just passed away. The staff allowed us to stay with her for as long as we wanted to say our goodbyes even though it was almost midnight. The vet tech that assisted us was very kind and thoughtful. I will never forget the kindness and compassion that was given to us by Blue Pearl staff. They even said they would send some paw prints to remember our sweet kitty, Bo Doo, by. Thank you for everything

My dog, Eleanor, had a condition called bloat which is fatal in many dogs. Everyone at Blue Pearl took great care of her and myself. We ended up doing surgery and she is now at home recovering well. Very grateful for their kindness.

These folks catered to my every need at one of my lowest points, losing my best friend. I arrived on location after my cat had taken his last breath. They gave us professional, compassionate care. They even prepped him for personal burial and provided me with a paw print. Then sent a card after the fact expressing their condolences. I can’t even express how much better they made this difficult experience. Thank you, truly.

My dog's ear injury was dripping blood everywhere. She was taken back immediately. The staff kept me informed and reviewed "the plan" with me before it was completed. I hope staffing can be increased (hire the MU staff from their closing Location?) to keep this location open seven days a week.

I called after midnight and, while they were not open, they answered the phone. Amy was incredibly helpful and polite. She asked a lot of questions and tried to narrow it down as best she could over the phone. It never seemed like Amy was in a hurry to get off the phone. It being after their hours, that speaks volumes. I’m beyond impressed.

Very poor experience. My dog was very sick. She wasn’t eating or drinking and I was very concerned. The vet was incredibly unhelpful. She couldn’t provide me with any kind of differential diagnosis of what could possibly be going on. Her only course of action was to order a $350 CBC (a $25 test at cost). In medicine, if you cannot provide a differential, you have no reason for ordering the test.

Your hours say till 12 am. I work in the restaurant industry and our hours are until 10 pm, meaning if someone walks in at 9: 55 you get service. I came in at 11: 40 and was told you were not seeing anyone. That means you are not open till 12 am. Update your hours.

Our baby cat Zorro, 18 months, had an issue and I took him to our primary vet. They had no clue and closed at six! Transferred to Blue Pearl on N Oak at 6 Pm. That facility closed at Midnight, Still no update or prognosis Transfered to Blue Pearl in OP Kansas. No cause for what happened or what it was. We finally had to tell them to let him go. We couldn’t afford to pay for no results. 3 Days, 7k in bills for nothing. No remorse, autopsy, that would cost more I stand behind what I say.
