BluTaco, Holts Summit MO

Ok, where to start. I have been here 5 times over the last year and every time there has been at least one failure! To start, drive thru is a joke, the speaker has never worked since the first visit. When you pull up to the window to give them your "drive thru" order you do not even have a menu to refer to when trying to "guess" what you would like to have on your entree. The menu board that is outside where you would normally give your order through the speaker does not even reflect ALL of the available options you may have, not does the online app (I'll get to more detail there later). So you pull up to the window and while your there trying to give your order you notice that several other prospective customers finally give up and drive away from the order line, because let's have it this is the most time consuming way ever to take drive through orders. Another time I decide maybe it would be more efficient to go inside to give them my order, this is where I discovered that even though they are not on the outside menu board they do in fact have other options (jalapenos and sour cream were what I requested).
Then my visit tonight was what topped it all. I decided to try using their app to place an order, keep in mind I parked in the back of their parking lot to do all the setup and actual ordering as well a get a payment to work (although it has Google pay as a payment option it does not work with their app), once the order was paid for I received an email that the store has received my order so I pulled around the building and parked in the designated parking space for mobile app orders and the instruction on the sign say to call the number to tell them you have arrived. The person who answered the phone said let me check to see if we have your order and explained to me that they don't get anything to tell them there is an app order, he verified my order and Said someone would be bringing it out to me in about two minutes. I waited another 13 minutes in my truck waiting for my order, them gave up and walked inside very discouraged and upset and asked for my order and they replied that I should have went through the drive thru, which made me even more upset because this place is become even more inconsistent with EVERYTHING. Then a little later after I had calmed down I decided to call and find out exactly how a mobile order should be picked up And really didn't get a straight answer for that. They gave excuses like they had an event going on that night and that they would be contacting tech support to see if they can get notifications when an app order is placed, that was not even what made this bad, I was ok calling in and assuming they would start preparing my food when I called, the problem is they aren't Even clear with themselves how a mobile order should be handled once they have verified they had an order.
Keep in mind I'm not counting any time it took me to set up the app, prepare my order, and pay, but from the time I received the email that the store received my order until the time I walked out of the restaurant with my food was 47 minutes, totally unacceptable!
They need to realize their sole business is customer service and they failed miserably. The first thing they need to do is fix the completely forgotten drive order system, then make the menu ACCURATE, and get rid of the parking signs for mobile app orders and have customers come through drive thru and tell them at the SPEAKER that they have a drive thru order, like almost every drive thru restaurant does, and last but not least give the customer reasonably accurate information about what expect with their order.
The person I talked to on the phone claims bluTaco to be a small company that struggles to have the support that larger companies have but the reality is that bluTaco is getting smaller every day because of inconsistent practices. I'm my travels all around Missouri I've noticed that these restaurants are closing.
Now, to the food. The food has been good consistently, one time some ingredients were cold.

First off, the place stinks, like super old building stink. Their beer selection is trash. Their menu is super small and confused. This is my first and LAST trip to this place.

What a great place! Good food, amazing value, and the staff here are really nice! I'm ready to go back tomorrow!

Ordered to go and got home in less than 5 minutes, the food was just really cold and bland. I don't know if the food is made fresh to order, it seemed like they grabbed a bunch of toppings from a salad bar and wrapped it up. They're a bit too expensive for such poor quality food, the taco bell across the street tastes more authentic.

Fun place with awesome food. So many combination options. Staff is great! Clean and fresh.

Good food, clean eatery, and fair pricing! Stop in and say "Hi" to the friendly staff and enjoy a good quick meal!

I absolutely love this place! Their tacos r good but their pizza is even better! The workers r great! The foods great! Honestly only thing missing is the pool table.just saying! It's a wonderful place to go out!

Decent taco, fair burrito and near like a Red Baron frozen pizza. Asked to use the restroom and it was locked. They said "we can't find the key". Restaurant was clean and service ok. Definitely not a 5 star Restaurant but if for some reason you cant decide between Mexican and frozen pizza this is your place. The restaurant reminded me of a Chipotle knock off with school lunchroom pizza.

Way better than Taco Bell. Still fast food Mexican. I’d go back. Service was good. Food was good.

Cool little taco joint. I've eaten a lot of tacos, so from an experienced perspective, they are pretty good. The menu is simple and the food is straightforward. If you like tacos, give it a try.

As a former employee I may be biased. I found the food to be fresh and tasty. Our service was organized and fast. As a kitchen worker I would know if the food is fresh, and kitchen sanitary. Which it was. I put my two weeks in about a month ago miss it like crazy. PFS brands employers truly care about you and your well being as an employee. Pizzas are out in 5-8 mins from ordering you can't go wrong.

Got the 3 taco special. Flavors were good, portion was reasonable, as was the price. Very nice, sociable employees. Clean overall, and a good place to grab quick bite.

We have family that lives in Holts Summit and we ALWAYS bring BluTaco or Hangar54 Pizza for dinner when we visit them! The service is awesome, the establishment is clean, and the food is incredible!

Great daily lunch specials! This is my go-to lunch spot! Can’t ask for better service and quality food! They are now serving pizza as well and it is amazing!

Great food and great people! We love BluTaco which has replaced our needs to drive across the bridge to get similar experiences at other places. Also love the fact that headquarters for BluTaco is right down the road!

The addition of Hangar 54 Pizza is also awesome! My husband and I personally love the buffalo chicken pizza and always ask for extra chicken.

Ordered a bacon pizza and it was very fresh!
They also brought it out to me within 1min of calling the app. Order line!
