4 Gravel ramp. Good for small fishing boats and kayaks/canoes.
Very shallow in areas. Here to the north lots of trees and less than 4 feet of water. Good for fishing.
This location has everything I need for dropping a couple kayaks in the lake. It's easy to get to. It has ample parking. It's seldom busy. I expect I'll be back to use this as a launching point for future paddling adventures.
I'm convinced there is no fish here. Take out a boat! Waters low. Parking is a little confusing. I'd like to know the story behind the 2 crosses.
We ran across this boat ramp/swimming hole as we were exploring Smithville lake. It's way up on the north east side of the lake.
It gets 3 stars as there are no facilities or shade structures on site. With that said it's much more quiet than the busy marinas and it can lend itself to the questionable crowd. There were some 20 somethings smoking dope and swimming when we arrived.
It is pretty, and it looks like there might be some good fishing close by. It was an okay place to explore.
