BrickTop's, Frontenac MO

This place was across the street from our Hotel. Food and atmosphere was perfect for couples night out.

We had the trout, bistro chicken and caesar salad with blackened shrimp. All were tasty. The beurre blanc butter sauce was good and helped both the chicken and trout. Interesting that they don't put out the usual basket of bread. I guess you would have to order bread if you wanted some. When we left about 1 pm, the place was packed and quite noisy. If you're looking for a quiet eating experience, this is not the place. The chicken was dry, but with the sauce it was fine. The char-grilled broccolini was tasty, but the stems were too hard to eat. They need to boil the broccolini first and then put it on the grill.

One of my go-to restaurants, whenever I’m in St. Louis. The food and drinks are both so good, they never disappoint. Highly recommend!

I’m visiting St. Louis for a officiating camp and stopped by Bricktop’s for dinner. Alisha, our waitress, was amazing! She checked on us routinely and didn’t mind chatting with us briefly. She also kept a smile on her face. The atmosphere was nice as well. The food was good, but the price didn’t match the quality of the food. Upscale price, but average taste. However, the baked potato was awesome. The drinks were decent as well.

Trout was delicious. Brussels sprouts were okay. They were burnt. Would have been very tasty if they weren’t overcooked. Very noisy when we entered at 5: 30pm. Had difficulty hearing the server. Felt as though I was shouting to talk.

I ate brunch here a couple weeks ago with my family and it was very nice! Their covered patio was very pleasant and breezy and service was quick and friendly. Our server was patient with my grandma while she took her time deciding what to order. I ordered the shrimp and grits, which was a little too salty for my taste, but everyone else loved what they ordered. I'd definitely go back.

I visited BrickTop for a birthday dinner on 7/18/23. I ordered a burger because you can’t go wrong with a burger at least I thought…
It was maybe a 3 out of 10 for $20+. I also ordered two prickly pears which was decent. They were $14 a piece then an additional $4 for pears, not sure what that was for. The waitress was tentative Once we finally got one.

We went for Father's day brunch. I made reservations weeks in advance snd had to give them my credit card to assure them that 12 pf us would show, if not they would charge my card $300. All 12 came! Service was less than mediocre. Water glasses empty for quite awhile before refilled, had to ask for "ice" water to get a larger glass with ice otherwise you got a small glass with just water. It took forever for food which was highly overpriced for the serving sizes. One ordered steak and it was a piece of steak with a medium twice baked potatoe.
Seems very expensive at $56. One in the party ordered Lobster Bisque to arrive before her entree, entree of a salad was served and had to ask for the Bisque, dressing and utensils which we had a hard time getting anyone's attention to get. We had been there previously and had a great experience but it was a different story today. Probably will not go back.

Update: 07.08.2023. Awesome french dip sandwich with real prime rib! Delicious crab cakes! Walls currently being refreshed.

Excellent steak and fish tacos!

The Fish tacos was delicious and the Nashville Hot Chicken was amazing, light, crispy and medium spicy.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Food was excellent. The dining room is a bit noisy, you cannot speak at normal tone of voice, but a really a nice experience.

First, there was no military discount honoring those who serve, have served and have been killed in action for our country. Secondly, bacon was undercooked, potatoes were HARD, salty, overcooked and burnt. Lastly, dress attire of some guest patron was extremely distasteful and distracting to say the least. Bricktop has lost the elegance and style of atmosphere, quality of food and being appealing to the "Guest Experience". The host and servers did a good job though. Hopefully standards of service, military discount is instituted, quality of food and dress attire is restored to ensure Bricktop is a preferred dining choice in the future. BBLESSED! Dr. Bumper

Great place for a business lunch and also for brunch, the food is always good, this time we had the sushi which was super!

I was here once many years ago … then later worked there because I remembered the guest experience was so good. Covid happened and I moved on. I was there tonight and could not believe how great the service still was. Many faces have changed but many have not. My mom loves to sit at the bar but it was full. The hostess said tell you what I can grab some chairs and put them in the low spot if that’s ok. I would say that happened cause I used to work there but that’s always the service they offer … I will say it over an over again. Bricktops does it better than most.
