Loved the atmosphere, food was delicious, waitress was nice and very attentive…only issue was that it was pretty hot in the place, they need more fans to circulate the air…we will be back in the fall when it’s cooler out

We rode our bikes on a hot August morning from our house and then on the MKT Trail right up to Flat Branch Park and into the diner. There was a wait of about 10-15 minutes but it was well worth it. My husband had the egg benne and I had a half stretch. Both were delicious. I had a cinnamon roll which I thoroughly enjoyed. We had great service and plenty of coffee refills including more iced water for our travel back home. Will definitely return and try more on the menu. This is a Columbia classic.

Service was great. Pork sausage patty nothing to write home about. Pretty bland. Hash browns not hash browns, more like home fry potatoes. True hash browns are usually made with shredded potatoes, which are cooked until crunchy. Bacon could have been better if using peppered or maple or hickory.

Rarely do I write a review whether it's a good or bad experience but I'd feel guilty if I saw somebody else leave a bad review after we went there. Food wasn't good. Service wasn't good. Family of 4 with 2 smaller kids and our bill was $61. We literally ordered a pancake and sausage for our daughter and 2 pancakes and bacon for out son. That was half the bill alone. My wife had a sausage scramble with a biscuit and gravy and I had an omelet with a biscuit and gravy. At $15/person for some very subpar breakfast I'd recommend anywhere else. The the biggest problem these days is people don't take any pride in the work they do. The waitress didn't act friendly and the cook was upset that it was busy. If you don't want to be somewhere please retire. I would have happily paid that much for good food but I feel like I was robbed.

The French toast is where it's at. So yummy! The local sausage and bacon was also delicious! Anytime I'm in town this is a must!

This is the perfect American diner. There is one big, visible flattop grill churning out breakfast and lunch simultaneously while creating heavenly smells. You can watch the cook at work, and the skill is evident. The service is friendly and attentive. Everything down to the tiny details of the decor, the tables, the bar and stools, the milkshake machine, the little jelly packets, and the hot silver syrup container brought to each customer is perfect and deeply authentic. Tabasco and Frank's Red hot sauce grace every table in large bottles. The meat and eggs are sourced from local farms, in a miraculously unpretentious and affordable way, and you can taste the quality in the bacon and eggs. The biscuits and gravy are good too, a rarity from any restaurant anywhere. Good ingredients are prepared simply and humbly at this magical place, which also serves homemade pies and gooey butter cake. Only a fool wouldn't buy some pie before leaving here. This place deserves a Michelin star and landmark status. It is a rare beast in a time when Americans descend in politically divided droves upon satanic corporate facades like Cracker Barrel and Texas Roadhouse, and unwelcoming bourgeois hipster vegan avocado bruncheries selling "okay colonizer" stickers for 5 bucks a pop. If there is a line, just wait in it. Trust me. Relax and enjoy a true experience in the kind of place you worry might be vanishing from this world. Order too much food and eat yourself sick, and then eat some pie too. Bring your real friends and loved ones here. Be kind America. There is hope for us yet.

My experience at this diner is always enjoyable with delicious food and a home feel.
I would recommend this spot for a good hot coffee in the morning and a nice place to sit and study or have a small group meeting. Rather its dinning in or taking out you are going to enjoy every moment!

Do not recommend at all. As soon as we walked in the staff was not friendly. We sat ourselves and we pulled up a chair bc were a family of 5 and all the tables had 4 chairs. Immediately the waitress told us we cannot pull up chairs and someone was going to have to sit by themselves either at the bar or at a separate table. She was not nice about it at all. My question is if we can’t pull up a chair bc they want to keep tables free for other guests, why would they want 1 single person sitting at a table alone instead of just having a table with 3 chairs. Anyway, overall bad experience and we ended up leaving. Do not recommend

My first experience here I really liked my breakfast it was good with great service. I also was intrigued my the touch less menu for smartphones.a gentleman came in and they gave him a protective covered menu, very nice indeed especially during all the viruses going on currently. I would recommend Broadway Diner especially if you have not experienced it yet.

Small but quaint, super friendly staff. Not a fan of the cooks care for the cook station. The prices were way to high. But over all experience was good due to the staff and food was pretty good.

Great waitress tipped her twice the bill.simple breakfast bacon, eggs, toast and home fries.food was decent.eggs were great, toast ok, bacon ok and liked the home potatoes but then again I was really hungry. Elderly obese owner/ manager/waitress was rude and revolting to behold with her dirty looks, depressed demeanor and the unbecoming grissle hanging from her arms, show some respect/ modesty.wear long sleeves.she was a real downer and butt into my conversation with a neighboring fellow californian.she was bothered by our covid conversation and my admiration for past president. I felt judged and unwanted like I had a disease and like I was unpopular lawyer.to say the least I would not go back on my next trip.

Kind of like a step back in time. We really enjoyed our visit. Reminded me of a time gone by that we so need more of. Really great people to deal with. Family atmosphere. We loved the food. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks so much. Stands to reason we will be back!

Fun. Nice retro theme, excellent service with an inviting entrance that ushers in a time long gone. And, the food is good.

A hidden gem of a place for those that are looking for good food and phenomenal service.
Maureen was a delightful person, she was efficient while being so warm and hospitable. We got the Stretch- folks this was the highlight after riding 35+ miles on the Katy trail. For anyone that was looking for food recommendation you can stop reading. For those that are interested in the kind of people run this place please let me indulge you…
Dave the owner-manager came out as it was close to their afternoon break. He wanted to find out where and far are going on our trail bikes, we chatted and where then on our way. 45 minutes later we passed someone on an eBike - he stopped us. It took me a minute to realize that it was Dave! He wanted to make sure that we are dong ok since I must not have looked not that well.
This is so considerate and appreciated- that’s Dave. (Dave if you are going to be reading this) I successfully completed my first 100 on MKT trail!

What a great place! Friendly staff and good food. Very happy with my grilled cheese and bacon sandwich. Simple ingredients with great flavor. Just for fun add a little grape jelly to the sandwich, you'll love it even more.

If you need a good hangover meal, or just a good old fashioned breakfast, this place won't disappoint. Good sized portions and good prices. It is really small so maybe avoid it if you're bringing/meeting a lot of people
