Love the store, will always try Buckheits first. First time the clerk was rude though, hopefully it was just a bad day.

It's a farm and home goods store. They ar currently needing more check out staff as they only had one for the whole store. I ended up not getting anything as I didnt have time to wait.

This place is great plenty of variety, nice and clean and employees are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Took away 1 star for prices, allot of stuff I think could and should be cheaper

Love this store. The staff here is always super friendly and helpful, the store is kept meticulously clean and if you can't find what you're looking for there's always someone willing to stop what they're doing to help you find it.

Called for a product I had researched. The first woman I spoke with was so pleasant and helpful. She walked to different places in the store instead of transferring me until she found the right department. She then transferred me to Jody, in the correct Dept and although she didn't find the product I needed it was not for lack of trying. Both were very pleasant and did the best they could to help. They, esp the first one and I wish I had gotten her name, save me a lot of time. I've shopped there many times and have never caught a single person on a bad day!

I came in with questions about rabbits, and Jennifer went above and beyond when it came to helping me! She gave me a lot of tips and I really appreciate her help. Will defiantly be returning to this location!

Purchased an item in May 2019. The item did not preform as designed to do. Exchanged item 20 days later (no issues with the exchange. Very nice and helpful) The 2nd item was no better. Tried to return the item well within the 90 day period. Had the receipt and the box and was told since I used the item and it wasn’t defective they would not return. Do I need to break the item to return it? The item did not work as designed to and now since there was a manufacture problem or whatever I am on the hook for the item. Management was extremely rude and offered me no solutions to help me or get in touch with the manufacture to fix my problem. Been shopping there since 2008 when I moved out by them. Lost a loyal customer. Don’t waste your money there.

This store is always fantastic! Lots of great inventory for gardening, farm or home repair. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. Pets are welcome and my dog loves making a trip here.

First time shopping and I liked the place. Pretty well stocked with a nice variety of things. I bought Elk and Bison meet jerky. I would visit again!

Running a special on veggie plants, 4 for $5. A little weak on the selection, not a lot of variety, but it has been a weird spring too. Store is clean, employees are always friendly and just a great local store. I'll go back in a couple weeks to see if their selection is better. Please like if you found this review helpful.

Went to get a bid for building materials for an upcoming project & the fellas seemed to fully understand the scope of my plan & gave me advise on the best way to achieve my goal along with the estimate that I went into the store for. They did not try to oversell me on the materials. Pricing was competitive & they were very easy to deal with.

Great service and the employees were very friendly.they did a good job of recommending at chainsaw at the price point that I needed and help me save money and get a longer warranty for free.

Clean store animals are kept up on very well and product stocked, associate engagement could be better as walking past you don't usually get greeted.

I’ve waited a couple of days to write this so I wouldn’t be writing out of anger. Sunday 9/17, went to the Herculaneum location to purchase a drag harrow, found it and the gentleman working in the farm looked up the price ($299) as the item wasn’t marked. Not knowing if three-hundred dollars was reasonable, I did a quick search on my phone for pricing comps, found that many stores (Rural King/Farmington being one) offered the same manufacturer/model for $100 less. The salesman suggested I go to the service desk for a price match, and this is where things went so wrong. The girl at the service desk, had no idea what a drag harrow was, so I showed her on my phone, the Rural King site. She informed me she needed to call Rural King to ensure the product was sold in stores, although the site I showed her clearly stated the harrow was offered “online and in-stores”, she phoned and spoke to a Rural King employee who told her they didn’t sell the item in stores. She informed me they couldn’t match the price because it wasn’t sold in stores, another employee walked up and felt the need to let me know that “people were always coming in and trying to pull scams with price matching”. I don’t have much, but I do have my integrity, and to have it questioned by someone who is supposed to practicing “customer service” was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Over the years I spent a lot of money at this Buchheit’s, but I won’t spend another. Leaving the store in a state of shock, I phoned Rural King in Farmington from the parking lot, spoke to the same person the customer service rep had. Who admitted, they didn’t know anything about harrows, didn’t know if they sold them in their store and couldn’t find any in the database (because she didn’t know how to spell it, so couldn’t look it up), and asked me to call back Monday to speak with the person who ran their implement department. I then called Orscheln in De Soto, they had the same harrow, it was $220, but it was going on sale next week, and they agreed to give me that price, so I paid $193 for the same harrow and they didn’t call me a cheat or scammer. So can you guess where I’ll be shopping from now on? You guessed it, anywhere but Buchheit’s in Herculaneum. As a side note, the duty manager at Buchheit’s was absolutely useless, he walked by on his way outside to smoke (I know this because he stood right outside the doors to do it) when he was finished his smoke, he walked by asked what going on, the scurried off without doing any “managing”.

Typical visit. Didn't have the part for my saw. Great place as long as you can serve yourself. If you need help.not so great. Check out is slow. They need to upgrade their point of sale system.

Great place if you want to trip over dogs, can't find what you need, worse lumber ever seen, want to wait in line, and may or may not be able to return an item. Buchheit's of Herculaneum has been going down hill for years. I remember the day's of the 5 cent sodas, so been going there for years. Would usually spend a couple thousand a year here buying softener salt, work clothes, tools, weed killer, mower parts, and random nuts and bolts I will never be going back again. I tried to return an item that was unopened, still had the receipt, and there was still a rack of them in the back, but was told it was past the return time period (which I never have seen posted anywhere.) So now they will lose a couple thousand a year over $10. Just as well, it is hard to shop when dogs keep sniffing you or getting in the way of walking the aisles. On most my trips there I could expect to spend 10 minutes in line just to buy small bolts and nuts. I have bought lumber there in the past, usually split and twisted. Eve since all of the older people that worked there that knew what they were talking about were let go, I can't hardly stand on going there. So like I said, will never be back or recommend to customers again.

Non-existent and constantly changing rules for "price matching".

I was looking to purchase some firearms. I asked them if they price matched. They told me yes, they price match, but it has to be a store you can drive to and not an online store. I told them the store was Sportsmen's Warehouse. They asked me for the address. I gave them 4 addresses all in neighboring states, as unfortunately there is not one in Missouri. They said we don't price match that. I asked why not, they said you can't drive to those stores. I told the lady, you need to get a new vehicle if your vehicle can't drive 120 miles. She said well we only price match if it is local, the exact model, the price in the store & not online, a place that they (the employees of this store deem is worthy to price match) so bottom-line is they don't price match. I told them to keep their merchandise. I will never shop in their store again.

Very courteous and trouble free service. Nice people. Very happy with how knowledgeable and willing to help. Will definitely recommend.
