Buerky's, Boonville MO

Update 3. They are shutting down permanently. Can't say I'm shocked. They ran this place into the ground. You can't run a business in this town for a year and some change and think you can get away with the "Do you know who I am? " mentality.

Update to my review posted below. This restaurant is now under new ownership and has retained the last name of the previous owner. Please keep this in mind as I type this review as there should be no shade thrown at the Buerky's period.

When the new owners took over they started serving deli style sandwiches. This quickly failed due to the outrageous price of these sandwiches. They have now switched strictly to BBQ. While the BBQ is quite tasty the sides are lacking quite a bit. The main problem is that the sides are usually cold. The Mac N Cheese is usually a cold puck of dry stale mush. This also reflects the fries and additonally the catfish filets and hushpuppies (If you get the hushpuppies) are flavorless and also cold.

While the prices may be considered high to some I believe they are fair for the portions you receive, however the quality is not there to back up the pricing.

Myself and others who have dined in or carried out have also experience a poor attitude from the employees working. I believe one lady who may be the owner was once complaining out loud about the lack of customers and what little business they get in front of a crowd of people. Probably not your best thinking.

It really is sad to see a local business go down this path and hopefully they can turn things around and get our patronage back.

Very good! Not only is it a good place to eat, the owner Matt is an awesome guy and very friendly.

Ridiculous! That chicken fell of the wing and leg and the sides were so good! Thank you! Cheap too!

So after yesterday, third time giving me old food. Microwaved fish, old hard dried inside, and was cold Within minutes. And that hash brown casserole complete garbage knowing well we didn’t order that as a side. It's okay going back to being a vegetarian don't want to walk around smelling or aging like y'all. Thanks new ownership

If I could leave no stars I would. Terrible food, terrible service. If I could leave no stars I would. Don’t waste your time or money.

We had the brisket and burnt ends, both were delicious! The habanero bbq sauce is amazing!

As someone who does not live nearby, I am jealous of the locals who can come here frequently. We had a great lunch with everyone very happy with their choices. Going on the weekend to get ribs was a great call. Sides were tasty. Service was fast. Would love to get a chance to come back soon.

Good food, friendly down to earth people, excellent service, and an awesome down to earth atmosphere. Just doesn't get any better than this!

I will tell about the experience I had on May 19th. I ordered some food and I was just ready to eat didn’t think I was going to be hyped about cause I’ve had it before it’s bbq. Place my order with DoorDash. Food got here and I literally dis not stop eating food was the best that I ever got from there that day? I wanna thank y’all cause it was giving me life and I haven’t had any good fish ever since I left Mississippi yeah us down south country boys love some good food. BUERKY’S THANK YALL FOR THAT GOOD OLE FISH ON MAY 19TH! WHOEVER FRIED THAT CATFISH NEEDS A RAISE AND ALSO THEY NEED TO BE THE ONLY ONE COOKING IT.

Over-all food was good. We just like our BBQ to be a bit smokey tasting and this was not. So that is why the 4.

Got there a hour and a half after they opened. 5 tables in use- they were already out of ribs! Bad planning since it was heritage days going on. Outside seating was basically empty, so dont understand the no ribs. I was told I could take them home and finish cooking them myself.smh. Ended up getting chicken, that seemed undercook, and pulled pork. Also there was a spat right up in view of customers between the cook and the counter lady- very unprofessional- dude needs to keep his temper in check. Most likely will go to Marshall for my bbq from now on.

Didn't care for the potato salad.pull pork and brisket were good. Didnt care for their bbq sauce. Beans were good.

HUGE portions and always good. Husband said the coleslaw was terrific my friend swears the potato salad was the best she has ever eaten.

Not even a friendly staff the teenager maybe shouldn’t be working if she is rude to paying customers on a Sunday

The food was okay but the customer service of the girl at the register was terrible. She didn’t welcome us when we walked in, she rolled her eyes whenever we told her we were there for pick up, she didn’t give us napkins or forks for our food. The way she acted was enough for us to never come back.

Buerkys bar b que is always delicious. You never leave hungry because helping are enough to fill a person.

I don't know if it was the best brisket I ever had.but I don't remember any ever being any better. AAA+

Food was fabulous. I don’t order brisket out because it’s always a disappointment. This was tender and so flavorful. The loaded fries are so delicious. I couldn’t put a dent in the half order
The owners are so welcoming and friendly.

Great place to eat. Amazing staff and vibe. The food is great, couldn’t ask for a better bbq place in Booneville.
