Buffalo Ridge Springs Course reviews
16 Overall a fairly disappointing experience. Went last week with a group of 16 that was staying on property.
Our tee times got pushed back 40 minutes because another group was late, conditioning of the course wasn't good, ended up being a 6 hr round because there wasn't a marshall and one of our groups couldn't even finish due to darkness. Oh and despite the course being dry, it was cart path only.
Other than that, the back nine is fantastic from a design perspective.
My suggestion, stick to Ozark National and Payne's.
Amazing experience, very nice and well taken care of course. You definitely get what you pay for here. I will be back!
Beautiful golf course. The guys and I have been playing here the last 13 years! Beautiful views, pga like fast greens. You will not be disappointed.
We waited and waited to buy a six pack before our round but the lady behind the counter was sooooooo slow checking out two orders of hot dogs so we went to warm up. Came back and she was nowhere to be found, so we waited and waited and then decided to get drinks from the drink cart. She showed up 2 hours later on hole 8. There was a family golfing ahead of us and they were incredibly slow. We waited every single hole on them. They were literally dancing around on the fairways. Took us 5 hours to golf. Not what I pay $150 for. Not up to J. M.standards. I doubt I'll go back honestly.
Buffalo Ridge Springs is the best course at Big Cedar Lodge.and it's not close. This track is simply phenomenal: conditioning, layout, fun factor, risk-reward options, and scenery.
Expensive, beautiful course! Promised hot dogs and drinks available on #5.not true! Had to have a dry pork sandwich after #9. That was all that was available. No beverage cart either.
Hands down best golf course I've played from a scenery, forgiveness, service, etc. Greens were a little rough with many ball marks, but to be expected with a resort course. We took advantage of the twilight rate which gave a 40% discount and finished just as sun was setting, providing more beautiful views. Wildlife on several holes, in addition to the bison. Free hot dogs at #5 were promoted by everyone, but unfortunately they closed before be we got there.
We didn't play any of the other Big Cedar courses, but another group we talked to said they thought Buffalo Ridge was better than both Paynes Creek and Ozarks. They thought holes were more interesting, challenging and just a better experience. Although it sounded like they really liked the hot dogs.
In my opinion the best course at Big Cedar. Staff was as friendly as all the other courses but the different elevations, the forgiveness, views, the live buffalo. This place was incredible and over all maybe my favorite golf course I’ve ever played all things included.
Played the day after I played the Payne Valley course and this course was just as good. The only thing Payne has on this is the 19th hole and the view going to the clubhouse. This course was half the price and was just as nice. I loves this course and would recommend it to anyone who goes up to Big Cedar.
Absolutely gorgeous course! Staff was friendly, pro shop was clean and the bloody mary’s were top notch.
Great course and well maintained. Indoor and outdoor staff were very nice.
The range was in terrible shape (lower section which was all that was open). We enjoyed our time, but at $190 with taxes it's not worth more than one trip.
Played this course on May 19. Unfortunately it had been raining and was cartpath only. The course was extremely wet. As a result played very long with painfully slow greens. Many of the greens have false fronts or slope away from you. Also, the day that I played it, too many of the pins were cut in unnecessarily difficult locations. All of the above resulted in a slow, five hour round. Although the course is very scenic, the quality of little things like bunker maintenance, tee boxes and driving range were not up to the standards of Payne Valley or Ozark National.
Been coming down on golf trips with 15 others for the last 4 years and getting a tee time in advance was never an issue until this year. Now we have a house reserved (which we cant get a refund) and no tee times can be scheduled. I have tried and tried to get someone to work with me but have gotten nowhere. Unfortunately next year it appears we are going to have to find a new destination as getting tee times has become nearly impossible to book in advance. With Covid, we were not sure what would be open, not to mention renting a house is safer for everyone, but if you do that, then you can't book more than 30 days out. I just have to wonder how one is supposed to schedule a golf trip if they have to wait until the last minute to book tee times. Like I said, there used to be nothing but helpful people but now it seems that isn't then case anymore. Very frustrating.
I would be more inclined to come back if you could assist us with scheduling tee times for Aug. It isn't that there aren't tee times available the issue is that we can't book them for another 6 weeks and at that point they could be gone by then. Telling us to come back next year isn't offering much support and on promises that we will once again run into the same issue. Like I stated, we have a house already rented that we cannot get a refund on. We have rounds booked at Ledgestone and Branson Hills but still have 3 days we need to fill. Can you please help expedite this issue so that we have secured tee times? Any help to a resolution would be greatly appreciated.
Always beautiful.in a month or so, grass will be professional.however disappointed in the huge increase in green fees!
The best golf course I ever played. I wish it wasn't raining, the course was so wet.but I enjoyed every second of it.will definitely go back.
