Butler Park reviews
14My son couldn't get over how many play structures were at this park. I think he counted 11 or 13? We definitely can't wait to go back in the summer, check out that pool and water slide!
I am so glad West Plains has really put alot of work into this park. There is something for everyone.
The playground equipment has been upgraded. There is a wonderful splash pad here that is free of charge for young children. The bathrooms could really use an upgrade. The Pavilion located at this children's park is a good place for birthday parties but the tables need to be repaired or replaced at this point. New handicap accessible parking has been recently added along with more parking spaces. There is no fence around this park so you have to keep a close eye on the little ones so they don't run out into the road.
This is a fantastic park with lots of fun things to do. They have a splash pad, spinners, little and big kids play areas. It’s a great spot to stop at if you live in or are passing through the area
The playground is awesome! Lots of kid-friendly, multi-ability attractions - everyone can find something to do! They're still working on the new pathway, so accessibility for everyone may be an issue until that project is complete.
The only drawback of our visit was the bathrooms. The multi-stall bathroom was kind of a hike (close to the aquatic center) and had no doors on the stalls and no soap or paper towels. Not a deal breaker, and there's probably a really great reason for that decision. It was just a surprise when we stopped. The other bathroom closer to the playground had individual space and a closing door, but smelled very bad.
Overall, I would not hesitate to stop here again. It was a great place to stretch our legs and have a snack on the way to our final destination!
This is a large park seemingly designed for children of all ages to play. There is even a free splash pad area to relieve the intense heat of a hot summer day. We didn't have enough time to stay and enjoy all they had to offer, but we will be going back soon. Added advantage: it is directly across the street from the aquatic center.
Disadvantage: parking is mostly on a steep hill near the picnic area. My dad has a bad heart and uses a walker. The hillside made it almost impossible for him to get to it.
Loved the park and the splash pad. Great play area. But the bathrooms stunk. The picnic area had mud all in it from the rain. I almost fell.
An amazing park for any pre-teen kids. Great splash pad with a lot of playsets for a kid to choose from. All within one grass lot, so no need to cross the road to get to other areas of the park. Restrooms were extremely dirty though.
Wish there was electricity at this pavilion. They also need to power wash the concrete, it is covered in dirt after the new construction.
The park and splash pad are great.
Kinda an ok park but there were a lot of house peopl people there when we went and didn’t really fell safe.
I used to love exploring the old house with my mom and sister. Sadly history is no longer appreciated and the house was torn down after being gutted and sold off.tho I can understand the unsafe conditions of the house as well.the park has expanded and added new features for children to enjoy so that's at least worth 4 since adding the splash pad so parents can have cool summer fun with their littles for free.
Great park to take the kids! There are at least 5 different playground structures for all size kids. The only bummer was that the restrooms weren't open for use. Too early in the season?
The park has continued to improve through the years! I'm happy my children get to enjoy this park for many more years to come.
I do wish they would fence in the park fully though.
