I typically am not one to go out of my way to leave negative reviews, but I really felt like I needed to for this. I had recently lost a fairly large amount of weight, somewhere between 50 to 60 lb. I was in need of knowing what' my current measurements are, as I really feel kind of lost when it comes to clothing and clothes sizes due to the large weight loss. Due to the fact that it was a dress store, I thought that they would be able to assist me with this. Most stores do not do measurements like that (bust, hip, waist) but because they sell dresses at Camille I know they do measurements, especially due to the nature of the dresses they sell. There was literally not another person in the store, I very kindly asked the woman at the front desk if she could assist me and helping me find my new measurement. She then responded very rudely, scoffed at me, and told me in a very rude tone of voice 'well yeah, but only if you plan to try on some dresses'. I actually am getting married in a few months and had been considering purchasing a reception dress and before asking the woman for help had definitely thought some of the dresses in that store look very Pretty and could work for my vision. However, due to the way the employee chose to respond to me, essentially automatically assuming that I had no intentions of trying on dresses, and the overall attitude she gave off of not wanting to seem to help me at all in the first place I decided to just leave and not bother with it. Just left me feeling very frustrated, disappointed, and a very bad taste in my mouth for this store. I understand that they want to assist customers whom they believe will actually purchased from their store, but this woman had already made up her mind about me before I could really even tell her why I was there in the first place. If I were to spend hundreds of dollars on a dress, I would recommend taking your money and time elsewhere, as this was not a pleasant interaction, and I would not want someone else who is trying to find a dress for a happy occasion to have to feel defeated like I did.

After hours of unsuccessful searching for a Homecoming dress, we walked into Camille La Vie! TONS of selection! Great prices! The staff was AMAZING! They found several dresses in the size we needed in seconds! My daughter tried on a few dresses and then found “the one”! I will never waste my time looking anywhere else, moving forward! Luckily, my daughter is a freshman and we will have many years to enjoy this store! You have made us lifetime customers! Also, we are telling EVERYONE! Thank you for turning a stressful shopping experience into a positive, fun HoCo experience! ️

Great selection! Phyllis is absolutely amazing very patient & understanding of the customer needs! Not only did she help me find the perfect dress for my daughter wedding but made sure I was happy with it! Phyllis I truly appreciate you job well done!

Prom dress shopping made easy! Huge selection & competitive pricing. Found a winner on the clearance rack & with 75% off, walked out for $55, tax included. I will never shop Columbia MO for prom dresses again!

The store is not inclusive to larger sized girls. They have a beautiful selection of dresses up to a size 18, but anything over that they only have old woman dresses. Not cool.

Large inventory of prom dresses at reasonable prices. Pretty much one of the only formal dress shops around for teenagers!

Elizabeth did a fantastic job! We're called ahead asking if they had a dress fitting a list of qualifications, and she pulled them for us as soon as we got there. She had great knowledge of their products and was very helpful and kind. Though dresses were a bit pricey, as prom dresses go, they were really not unreasonable. Love my dress and very excited to wear it!

I absolutely loved the staff there and the dresses were beautiful, the only negatives I have about it is the sizing and dress quality. I wish there was more in the store than size 10s and belows ; you’d be lucky to find anything over a 12. Also, in my opinion the prices are extremely expensive for the quality the dresses are in, they’re beautiful no doubt but I tried on about 10 dresses ; either the zipper fell off, the seams were busted and with one dress I went to unzip the back and a bunch of the sequins dropped like flys.

This was our second trip for formalwear and it won’t be our last! We drove 3 hours just to get there, and it is well worth it! My daughter loved her spring prom dress and it was a fraction of the prices we saw elsewhere, and she loves her homecoming dresses (yes, one was such a great deal at $60.00, we got two! The staff were so helpful and sweet! Both visits deserve 5 stars!

This is definitely a shop that is pricey but carry plus sizes. My prom dress was ~$300 though I also got it during the height of prom season and it was very high quality.

I've bought a out 6 formal dresses from this store between my 2 daughters and myself. Their selection is varied and the dresses are gorgeous.even the ones I dont "like" are beautiful! The prices cant be beat either. My daughter got her perfect prom dress, earrings, shoes and a clutch purse all for under $300. The layout of the store is perfect.open and easy to see all of the dresses.

Very nice store, staff, and selection. There were so many beautiful dresses in every size that we had trouble choosing. My sister and I had previously went to multiple local prom stores and found subpar dresses for twice what they charged at Camille La Vie. This year, our dresses each ended up being under $250, when the previous year we'd both spent $400+. Happy we decided to drive out to Chesterfield on a lark.
