Candlewood Suites Building 2020 reviews
19Very clean accomodations, everything in good order, high quality fixtures. Good customer service.
Currently locked out of my room because the key card does not work. Called the front desk an hour ago and still nothing. How hard can it be to unlock a room?
Candlewood is the place to stay here. Super comfortable, very clean, amazing levels of service. It's like a little home away from home and I really appreciate that.
This hotel was great, the gentleman working on Saturday evening (sorry I didn't get your name) was very helpful and respectful, he made sure that we were good during our stay and provided all details from the hotel. The breakfast was awesome, it has a good variety of things to choose. I have been in other hotels that just offer 3-4 things to eat and that's it (but somethingis better than nothing), this hotel had various things to choose from, by the way there was a lady "Michelle" that was always there making sure the food did not run out and having the area clean. The only thing that I can say that was kind of weird were some of the guests, they were lazy (if they dropped something for example napkins, they did not pick them up and put them in the trash), one guest bumped into my wife and she spilled the "hot" coffee on her hands and on the floor and the guest (male) just said sorry and didn't have the decency to help out with the mess he caused. Some people are just unprofessional and/or don't care about others which is sad. I'm not the best human being there is but I do have the integrity to clean up my own mess.
Nice space for stays of several days. Kitchen and work area are nice for simple and quick food prep and storage. Good location for easy access to key areas on the base yet quiet
Clean and reasonably spacious. Kitchenette. Reasonable fitness room. Breakfast not as nice as previous, with limited hot choices, and bisciut gravy quite thin (but tasty). Staff friendly and helpful. Recommended.
We stayed there for our son's basic training absolutely very nice hotel, great service and treated so well. Definitely would be there again if ever was that way again. Clean, wonderful customer service and super friendly thank you for making us feel so welcomed.
We went to our son’s basic training graduation and stayed here. The rooms are clean, beds are comfy, bathrooms are a good size. They have kitchenettes equipped with everything you need. It’s at a very convenient location on base. Across from a PX and commissary. If we ever return we will stay here.
Excellent facility, dog friendly, full size fridge, cabinets with all of your needs (which I didn't need, but took a mental note for the future). You can hear the soldiers in the morning if you're an early riser. Army moms love that stuff
Highly recommend anyone that's able to stay on base to try and get a room at this hotel if your visiting the base especially for a graduation. Loved our room, we were in town for my son's BCT Graduation and there was no availability at this hotel when we 1st booked our rooms. But we checked again after we arrived in town and stayed in a horrible hotel off base the 1st night, they had rooms become available so I booked two rooms and we actually got two rooms next to each other which made things so much easier. Beds were a bit on the firm side but still conformable. We will definitely book out next stay at Ft Leonard Wood at this hotel.
First this hotel owned by Hilton Corporation. And didn't stay at the one pictured here. I stayed at the original hotel behind the one your seeing where a key card must be the way to enter there is no front desk. As a person with a disability it was horrible going to breakfast or enjoy any of the amenities in the main building. Got locked out because their electronic door didn't work. Had to leave my bag and hobble to the main building and hobble back. The front desk agent did what they could and used their card to wand me in. Then the maintence man for the broken banged on my hotel door like a cop. He apologized and told him the electronic door needs to be fixed and I couldn't get in. There should be shuttle service from the base airport to the hotel.
I loved the room that I was in. Surprised to see a dishwasher inside the room. The stove has a safety feature that won't allow you to operate it unless you set a timer. That is a very good feature. Everything was clean and I felt good staying there. Also, I loved that we were able to wash our clothes in the laundry room without paying. That's right! Please be courteous and clean up after yourselves. Between the hours of 6 a.m. - 9: 30 a.m. A complimentary breakfast was served on the first floor. Shout out to Collin! He was friendly and easy to speak to during the admissions process. We appreciate it!
We did our breakfast in the Candlewood. Everything clean, large variety of breakfast stuffs, everything delicious.
The rudest staff I have ever experienced. They act like your inconvenience there entire life when asked to do one thing to assist your stay.
Beds are comfortable, clean, nice size rooms and bathrooms. We were there for 3 days and loved it. Hot breakfast, kitchen with dishes/pots/dishwasher. I also liked that it was on base, making it easy to get to my son's graduation (5 mins away), on 2 stormy/snowy days (the roads were terrible).
The room was clean, modernized. The staff were friendly and polite. The breakfast was delicious.
Staff was very rude over the phone and in person. Brittany did not even try to help me book my next stay to watch my sons graduation. Brittany was especially arrogant and rude.
I have stayed here many times, the establishment is fine, the staff is extremely mean.
Pros-Great rooms, good location food & grocery nearby, good internet, fresh linen and towels, and rooms & bathrooms are clean
Disappointed-Area or roadway to the front entrance (Small & Narrow) awful entrance way to get to and gets worst when it snows & Icy to include the Parking Lot for the Disabled is 25 meters away from the building dangerous when Icy & slippery (most are near the building), Parking Lot (Mind you, its Small) Not enough for bigger vehicles (Trucks, trailers, Suvs, bigger cars) your sandwiched in or during snow season (parking becomes a mess no spots to park in) you have to park somewhere crazy and end up walking or taking a cab
No room services or cleaning. Blaming Covid. Breakfast is whenever these lazies say it is. Don't waste your money.
