Candlewood Suites St. Joseph, an IHG Hotel, St Joseph MO

This is one of my favorite places to stay. Mona, is front desk clerk she is a new employee there and is very friendly and professional like to help her guess.this place is being totally remodel and I for one can't wait to come back and check it out.only one thing I think they need to add a pool.

We’ve been on the road for a few days now. Of all the places we’ve stayed, the welcome we got from Hunter at the front desk was BY FAR the best. Hunter was super friendly, genuinely conversational and had us checked-in efficiently. He provided details about the property amenities and said he was available should we need anything. We appreciated the high level of service from him - it made a great positive impression on us! Thank you!

Room was clean. HVAC needed attention. Room cold but very humid.
Long term stay people sit outside front and rear entry doors and smoke very frequently so that even when not present the property, at least on the first and partially second floor reek of cigarettes. Very disgusting.

This is a long term stay facility, so full services not available. And that was ok with us.

Management is fantastic and very professional, especially Angela. Many, many 5 star ratings for her attention and fantastic service and management! Keep her! She’s tops!

Bugs in the lobby, Room smelled bad, Carpet was tore up and stained.
The recliner chair had a tear in it with metal sticking out. My daughter scraped her arm, tho- it wasn't bad enough to need medical attention, it's still a dangerous liability. When we brought it up at the desk we were told management would contact us, but no one has reached out yet!
The only good thing about this place was at least the bed was comfortable and location is good. It's way over priced for a dirty room, limited housekeeping and no breakfast. Won't stay again.

it was my first time in the USA, and even before coming to my dear Portugal I already missed your country, thank you for your hospitality and sympathy for all you Americans with whom I had the pleasure of meeting.thanks

Missed having a breakfast as we only were there one night so didn't use kitchen. Staff helpful. Would be a great place for several nights

Great for extended stays. Rooms have a little kitchen. The hotel doesnt have a breakfast, but they offer coffee 24/7 and the cleaning girls are very accomodating.

Breakfast not available here, only reason for 4 starts on service. Small store for basic drinks and food, chips and some personal items. Coffee is readily available 24/7 and free, so Coffee drinkers, have at it.

Instead of making renovations for the outside make them inside. So disgusting! Everything is old, outdated and scratched up. Smells old too. The outside is pretty but don't be fooled, the inside is old, plus they charge the same as for a newer hotel.

My home caught fire one night and my insurance sent us to candle wood. The dog too. We paid nothing at all. The Hosts were very nice. Nothing bothered them. I could ask 15 questions and they smiled and answered. After the fire stay was over, we stay several different times there. The best in Saint Joseph, Mo. Bar none.

Stayed here many times coming to visit family in there area. The staff was always helpful. Big rooms with kitchenettes. Love the option to get more appliances downstairs. During the pandemic, they always gave us a top floor room which was nice. Super convenient to stores, the Belt and 29.

Clean room. Nice staff. Great location, across the street from restaurants and nice places to shop. I gave it a 3 because of the bed. It was so hard that even after purchasing a mattress pad, I still couldn't sleep on it. I wont be returning, but if you like extra firm mattresses then this is a great hotel.

After staying in my room for five days I decided it was time to clean it myself. When I asked where to take my trash I was told to tge dumpster. Wow I thought. I also asked if the washed the comforters I was told only if they get a stain on them otherwise they only wash the case. I'm thinking nasty this will be my last Stay at a candlewood

Hotel clean and quite and was convenient to the highway. Allowed our dog which was a plus…however there was and extra fee but is noted on their website so it was not a surprise. Close to many food choice and shopping center. Would stay again

First off the front desk lady was always doing something and was very nice when she instructed us not to have races with the luggage carts in the parking lot after we were dropped off by our uber driver at approximately midnight (Thanks) Rooms were clean and kept up. Our first room smelled like smoke when we entered late Friday night, but they switched us to another room the following day. We were very pleased with our stay.

Good location, very nice comfortable rooms with nice kitchen facilities, but best of all was the staff. Very professional, courteous and treated us like family. 1st time at a Candlewood, but definitely not our last.

I'm adding Candlewood Suites to my list of approved hotel chains. Much like a Residence Inn; very clean and comfortable and plenty of parking (for a boat behind me).

Nice place! Nothing spectacular but fully functional and a good night's stay. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating. Easy to get to, plenty of parking, and rates were reasonable. Because these are extended stay style suites, our room had a kitchenette with a full sized freezer/fridge which makes ice and has plenty of room to store food, leftovers, etc, as well as microwave, stovetop and cabinets for storage. Worth the stay.

Exceeds all expectations.
Room was fully stocked with pretty much all immunities you can need or want.
The room and restroom were very clean.
