Capen Park reviews
9I love how easy it is to swing in here and get a dose of nature. A steep hike to the top but a short little sprint to get a great view and usually not a ton of people there.
A well walked natural rock formation that most people in good health can enjoy. Don't slip.
I had no idea this beautiful space existed. Another hidden gem around Columbia. We had work photos taken and now I can't wait to go back and hike!
Capen park has so many great things about it. Dogs can go off leash. There is the rock climbing cliff, lots of creeks, trails, fields and woods. The trail system that passes through connects to the MKT Bike trail. There’s an old railroad bridge that’s a popular spot for photos.
We went on A Sunday afternoon. It wasn't too busy. Definitely some pretty places for photos and the trails are well kept. There was a weird sewage smell through several areas of the park but other than that it was a very nice place to hike around.
Great trails, very clean park, kid friendly, safe atmosphere and overall the best views to be seen in Columbia, MO.
There’s a good little trail here. A couple of small trailheads that give you access to a rock to climb or an overlook over the creek below. Overall a nice little trail!
This place is absolutely beautiful. Has a creek and trail and also has spots for rock climbing. Most of all though is the amazing view you get from up on top of the rocks.
Beautiful example of Missouri's beauty. My friend Jason and I used to hike and he would remind me that this same ground was traversed by our Native American brothers hundreds of years ago. Fascinating.
