Cave Hollow West Winery, Hannibal MO

My husband and I were staying at the campground next door. When we stopped by this winery to see if/when they had live music next, it was hard to find anyone working to ask (huge dining room). Finally we found someone and made a plan to return later for the music/wine. (The chalkboard had the wrong information for the hours/entertainment based on what the staff just told us, which was confusing.) It was a gorgeous evening when we returned. The band was fantastic (covers by ABBA, Fleetwood Mac, etc.)! The setup for the stage, landscaping, and seating was really nice. We would definitely return.

Very nice addition to the campground. Was nice to walk up the the winery for an afternoon drink.

Very nice autumn walk from campground to the winery. Very nice winery. Friendly service, GOOD wines, good prices, great seating in and out. We were outside with our 2 yorkie dogs. Dog friendly here.:). Two young women musicians that were very good and mellow music Saturday night. Very nice evening. We have stayed here and been here several times in the past. Will return and recommend.

What a great winery! It's conveniently located in Mark Twain campground and it's our favorite. It's always clean and festive and Kate the manager is very friendly and helpful. Also a great selection of wines and other drinks. We love it!

Great little winery. Nice inside and outside. Loved being able to walk from my campsite to and from the winery. Great wines. Something for everyone.

Super welcoming environment. Bartender was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They do flights here instead of tastings which is cool. My boyfriend built his own flight and the bartender had some suggestions on how to choose the best wines to fit his palate. After one flight each and a taste of the port (the only white port I've ever had) we finished with a frozen wine each. Great place! So glad I was able to get a drink after the caves!

The wines we’re actually very delicious, however the employee was socializing the entire time we were there. Poor customer service. Easily a 5 start with a more professional host. We would have bought a few cases of wine if I didn’t feel like a was disrupting the conversation.

Overall it’s a nice tasting room with an area that could accommodate a large crowd. There’s very little information about the history of the winery which would have been interesting to know. We had a custom flight that included two of the bottles that we purchased: Mark Twain Reserve and Mississippi Rolling Red. The board at the door said they were having live music on Saturday from 2: 00 to 5: 00; but we’ll be gone by then. We’re staying at the Mark Twain Cave and Campground so the winery was a convenient stop. I’d recommend giving it a try.

Such a beautiful venue for wedding receptions, anniversary parties, family reunions, etc!
Their outdoor patio is quaint with bistro lighting and seating. There was live music when we visited, making the overall atmosphere so inviting and enjoyable!
We ordered 2 tasting flights to sample their local collection of wine. So fun, so affordable! Bring your own cheese, crackers and chocolate to pair with the wine. There are very limited options of things to pair with your wine in a vending machine style fridge to purchase.

I was there today.got a flight of dry wines.no info given. I had to ask for a wine glass.never asked what I thought.how were the wines.the young guy said he does not drink wine.only the hard liquors available. I finished my flight.the guy left the tasting area never to be seen again. I was going to ask price and purchase a bottle.but he never appeared.stood at the checkout desk a few minutes and left.if I were running this place.he would be fired. I needed to pay immediately for the flight.no consideration if I wanted to purchase anything.definately a 1 star place.pass up.go anywhere else.get employees who care. I was disgusted.

Very good wines. We tried the Sweet Flight and the Red Wine Slushie. Ended up bringing home a bottle.

We had our end of the school year luncheon at Cave Hollow for the second year in a row. The venue is perfect, with indoor and outdoor seating options, it is a quiet and peaceful setting, and the staff could not be friendlier or more accommodating! The strawberry rose slushie is amazing! This may become our yearly tradition! Thank you for everything! We had a wonderful time!

We love being able to choose a flight to taste several different wines. The reds were our favorite. So awesome to have a winery at our campground - truly great service and good wine!

Nice atmosphere. Enjoyed tasting flight & it was reasonably priced. Not big crowd which we appreciated. Friendly & knowledgeable staff.
