Can’t say enough good things about Certified Transmission (Grandview location)! Steve is the absolute best! He kept me updated through the process and explained everything so well. I highly recommend this location and would give them 6 stars if I could!

Unfortunately I had to have a transmission replaced. Fortunately Certified Transmission is close by. I knew cost and approximate timeline.

Not sure what to think about this place. I took my car in to have my transmission fluid checked. They recommend a diagnostic for 80 dollars. They had my car for maybe 30 minutes and just said I needed a new transmission- didn't really explain why. Not sure if they even checked my transmission fluid or not, which was the reason I brought it in. I left with no real answers and out $80. Regret coming here!

After I had my car towed to a dealership, only to find out that I needed a new transmission, we called Certified Transmission. We were quoted a much more affordable price by Steve.he even made the arrangements to have my car towed from the dealership to his shop. He helped make a stressful situation a little less stressful and had me back on the road in a week. He also kept us informed throughout the process.

Well, I took my F150 to get the transmission changed out because something kept slamming in the rear of my truck whenever I had to accelerate like getting on the highway and the manager there his name is Stephen. He and one of his guys test drove the truck and gave it a once over and told me, yeah, I needed to change the transmission. The main seal was leaking transfer case needed oil change so I decided to have certified change out my transmission. When they were done, I went back to get my truck and my truck was still doing the slamming in the rear end, but not as bad and it wasn’t happening as frequent and I was going to get my rear end on the truck rebuilt as well. Anyway, I took the truck started slamming again so I immediately turned around and went back to the shop. Told Steven what was happening and he told me all the electronics in the transmission. Have to learn how you drive it’s OK go ahead and drive it and I was skeptical about that, but I had to drive the truck to run errands and my doctor appointments a week later I get into this rear end shop so that they can change out the internal parts of the rear end they get done and I have the truck back in one day that I’m told I have to take it easy driving a truck for 500 miles because of the new gears the new parts in the rear end now I’m still getting the slamming in the transmission so I go back to certified transmission and tell Stephen this and he doesn’t believe me, so I’ll leave the truck with him for a day and he tells me oh! It’s your U joints. I don’t know how we missed it so we will change out your U joints for free if you will pay for the U joints, well that upset me at first because he said that I was wrong. It’s not the transmission it’s the brain of the truck, well it’s still doing it and he only changed when you joined out and it was kind of close to closing time and he gave me some kind of excuse that they were very hard to takeoff and the one that we left unlocked all right so we saved you some money by not changing the other one out. I have a couple of doctors appointments next week so soon as I get done with my appointments, I’m taking the truck back and we will go round and around again like you have for three times. I’ve been there and they still have not resolved my problem with the truck, of course the dump truck doesn’t bang when he’s with me this week. It’s Janet almost every day so I have to leave the truck with them again for the fourth time.

Steve in Grandview MO was very friendly and informative. Vehicle work completed quickly and on time when promised. Highly recommend.

Definitely recommend the Grandview location. Manager Steve is very friendly, helpful and thorough. They diagnosed that i needed a new transmission. Work was completed on time and the price quoted was what I got charged. Love the 3 year/100,000 mile warranty. If you have issues - call Steve!

My transmission was put in my car in June of 2022 by a different transmission shop in lees summit. By August of 2023 it broke again, thank god I had a warranty on it. I tried to take my car back to the other shop to have it fixed and they let my car sit in their parking lot for 2 weeks without even touching it. I got super irritated and took it to the certified transmission in grandview. Steve was super nice and worked with the warranty company to get my transmission fixed for free. They started working on the repair immediately. He helped me save over $6000. It took about 2 weeks I think, but that’s ok bc they had to order parts and contact the warranty company and all that jazz, so considering all that, it was pretty fast. I would highly recommend them, Steve is super nice and seems super trustworthy. A lot of places seem scummy and scammy but I didn’t get that vibe from this shop at all. Seemed like good honest people. 10/10

Great place to use for transmission repair. Very reliable, friendly, had it done on time and estimated amount stayed the same.

All the experiences I have had with The Grandview Certified Transmission shop have been outstanding. This time we needed an opinion about a strange noise our 2018 Subaru Legacy was making. It was indeed a problem, a BIG expensive problem. Since the vehicle had low mileage Steve called Olathe Subaru and found out the issue was covered by an extended warranty and we will now have it repaired under the warranty! Steve went out of his way to check on that instead of just telling me I needed a repair and charging me to fix it. If you need transmission work from a trustworthy shop, the Grandview Certified Transmission is your place. They have earned my trust many times over.

I was very happy w the service for purchase and installation of my new transmission. Steve and Zach kept me up to date on the process and my vehicle was ready when promised. Very courteous staff. I received a courtesy 15 day ck up and all was well. Communications w the team were excellent. Would recommend!

Friendly, fast and efficient. Turn around time on the return was faster than intended and the transmission speed s running smoothly now!

I am new to Lee's Summit, MO and was looking for an honest business to take my truck to. Steve and his team at Certified Transmission in Grandview, MO did an excellent job diagnosing and replacing my encoder motor on my Chevy Avalanche. Although outside of their wheelhouse, they were also able to spot and bring to my attention that I was missing an engine motor mount. Not knowing this could have have caused serious future damage and costly repairs to my truck. Because of their attention to detail, I will be able to get the issue addressed. They have won my future business!

They had excellent customer service and kept me informed on the process of installing a new transmission and the expectancy of completion. Upon retrieving my vehicle Mr. Steve was very detailed with explaining what to expect and answered all my questions with clarity.
