China One reviews
20My first time here, I was served absolute trash. Had to throw away the food it was inedible. Seemed like lo mein were made hours ago and reheated in the wok. They had a "not fresh" taste, smell and texture. The wings tasted like the chicken was left unrefrigerated for a while, had a foul gamey stench. And the fried rice was heavily under salted.
The worst Chinese food I ever ordered. Vegetable Lo mein had a weird smell and tasted disgusting threw it all in the trash. Crab Rangoon was ok not great. Will never come here again.
My wife and I had the mushroom egg foo young. The best and most filling we've ever had. We thank to he chef!
Bland and what little flavor there was seemed to be the taste of old fryer grease. Everything seemed like it had been sitting for awhile after being cooked. The fried rice was very plain. I will not go back to this place, sorry.
This place is BAD. Lo mein was flavorless, honey chicken soggy, crab Rangoon had no crab, only cream cheese and didn’t come with dipping sauce. Anyone leaving good reviews has never had good Chinese. So bland. Not good.
This is our quintessential Chinese take-out place. Food is good, fast and priced accordingly. You know you're regulars when the staff asks where you son is and how he's doing if he isn't with you when you pick up your order.
I'm sorry, but this was probably the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. Not sure if that was chicken in the rice. Absolutely no flavor in the rice or noodles. Egg foo young wasn't great either. Just threw it all in the trash. A waste of money. First time and my last time going there
I finally found General Tso chicken in St. Louis that is not soggy mush. Just the right amount kf crispy. Will definitely be ordering again!
Save your time and go elsewhere. Definitely the worst Chinese I’ve had in the past few years.
Nasty, dirty, I saw dead bugs in the restroom and the owner is very rude, short, and makes up prices as she go. Do not eat here please!
Horrible experience …ordered my food and got there and she acted like she did t want to give us any sauce and when we asked for more she said they didn’t have many like what restaurant runs out of free sauce …then when we kept asking for sweet and sour sauce she kept acting like we did t have the money to pay and usually sweet and sour sauces is 50 cent or the most $1 she tried to overcharge us with $2.11 for one small thing of sweet and sour …. Be careful with your trace going there they will treat you wrong and very stingy with limited supplies go somewhere where you’re wanted …. Roaches everywhere and the owner is very crooked
Customer service was terrible. Forgot my food then were hesitant to give me my food when I came back for what I originally paid for. When I did get my food it was pretty much tossed at me with no I'm sorry or have a nice day. The old man just turned his back and walked away. I wish this was the first time the man was rude and unpleasant but it's all the time. Last time I go there.
This is my first dinner in a China One, their food is the worst food I ever had…. I will never go again….
An okay Chinese place, not the best or worst I've had. We ordered chicken lo mein, sweet n sour chicken and pepper beef onion. The order was quickly prepared, told about a 10 min wait and they were nice. The food was warm but as many have said lacks any flavor. My husband's beef n peppers was swimming in soy sauce so that was the only flavor. The lo mein I thought was kind of tasteless but ended up having the most flavor. The sweet n sour chicken with fried rice, wasn't terrible but the chicken was tiny, tasteless hard nuggets and the sweet n sour sauce was really heavy. And the fried rice.was just yellow colored white rice. I really feel like the food is probably frozen and just deep fried and store bought sauce thrown on top for any flavor. I'm not sure how much goes into food preparation and if it's more just frying the food.
Food is terrible and customer service was with an attitud, served room temperature beverages, told us 15 minutes we waited 45 minutes for terrible food
Vegetable fried rice was lacking in vegetables
And flavor
It appeared to not even be fried and had a can of carrots and peas in it as the only vegetables
Worst vegetable fried rice I ever had
The worst fired rice I have ever had. Tasted like white rice with a yellow tint. Sucked. Won't be back.
Great local Chinese restaurant. I usually get sweet and sour chicken with shrimp fried rice.
Good food. Had a party and this food helped supplement what we already had in a pinch. Quick service and tasty.
The chicken is weird. No flavor & doesn’t taste like chicken. Didn’t like the food. Probably won’t be back.
