China Wok, St. Louis MO

I’ve lived in St. Louis my whole life, moved quite a few times around town. China Wok is by far my favorite take-out Chinese in St. Louis. Hot, fast, and delicious. You won’t be disappointed.

I was at this restaurant about 4 months ago. Waiting on my order n I thought it was a piece of rice on the dark dirty carpet. It was moving! It was a maggot! Didn't eat my order n I will never go back in there.

First time at China wok. It’s different then other places. Not bad. Just different. The chicken was over cooked. The orange chicken sauce was too bbq ish. The crab Rangoons were not great. Not horrible. The portions are smaller then other places. They charge you for extra sweet and sour sauce. Overall just ok in my opinion.

So I ordered delivery yesterday 07/01/23. I ordered a chicken entre, hot and sour soup, chicken fried rice, and a order of crab rangoon. After receiving my delivery, I noticed that the crab rangoon was missing in the bag. I normally don't call, but this time I did considering I had just spent $34 on my order. I had called and a young man had answered, then put a young girl on the phone. I told her what my order was, my address, and that I was missing the crab rangoon in my bag. She said hold on and placed me on hold. When she returned back to the phone she proceeded to tell me that the guy who put my order together swore he put the crab rangoon in the bag. I said no and named off everything, but the crab rangoon. She proceeded to argue with me about it. She finally mentioned that she would either have it delivered or give me a credit for next time, to which she should have done from the beggining. I asked for the credit because it wasn't the delivery drivers fault. That being said, why would you argue with a customer over $3.50 and why would I lie about something that petty, when I have ordered there for years now. I have worked food before at Imo's, and we never argued with the customer, just made it right, ex if it's over a few dollars. I will not be ordering from this location again. My money can be spent elsewhere.

2 weeks ago walked in there and i seen a mouse/rat running around along side the wall.will definitely not go there anymore

they need to clean up the place, its just filthy, how can they serve food out of this place and how can we as costumers eat food from a place like this.why do we go back.we are what we eat, if that place looks that dirty, that tells you how the food is as well.place needs to be shut down or they need to invest into cleaning the place up.just look up when you get inside, the air vents they have 10 years of dust on them, drop ceiling is dirty. Kitchen floors dark.

Go check out this china house. It's the Best in St. Louis for sure! Fresh food, meat cooked well its Amazing

If you guys would just steal the orange chicken recipe from China garden, you’d be perfect!

I tried delivery from this restaurant. Ordering was easy, they said 45mins to an hour, food arrived after 45. Food was hot and delicious. Ordered orange chicken and chicken lo mein. Large portions and everything hit the spot for a Chinese food craving! Will be doing this again soon.

The sesame or orange chicken has progressively gotten worse chicken is tough taste nasty almost inedible and mostly fried breading there is hasn’t been a good bite of tender chicken in my last 3 meals I’m done going here

Everything is great every time! Food and staff are great! I’ve been coming here for years lunch dinner dine in take out and delivery. Foods always hot and perfectly cooked to order.

Usually I like this restaurant but I thought I would try something different and ordered the chicken wings and they came to me hard and they smelled like they were burnt. They had no flavor and I was very very disappointed in it. I would not recommend anyone to get the chicken wings at all.

This small, family owned and run restaurant serves outstanding food at a very reasonable price. It is a favorite of myself and my employees of our small local business.

Their hot and sour soup is by far the best we have had in town, including the two Lulu locations. Their appetizers, entrees, rices and noodles are all top drawer and a great value! Check China Wok on Bayless (South County) out! You won’t be disappointed!

I absolutely love this place. Been going here for 25 plus years and I can only remember one time that they have messed up my order up. And they had no problem fixing it no questions asked.

I've been going to this place since I was a little boy this place has GREAT SERVICE and the food is ALWAYS HOT and FRESH keep doing what you guys do delicious!

Great family business, great food. Every dish I’ve had I love. Their egg rolls are hands down the BEST!
