Chowning Heating & Cooling, Wentzville MO

I recently had a gas inspection done for the sale of a home by Chowning Heating & Cooling. They came out and stated that I had low pressure due to gas leak. They also stated that my "shut-off valves" on gas line was not to code along with a few other items. They also left a nice bill to have the items fixed.

I felt that there was something wrong with their evaluation. I called Spire (formerly Laclede Gas). Spire came out and did a full inspection and found no issues! No Issues!

Be careful with these guys and get a second opinion!

Apparently, one of your employees needs to go back to Drivers Ed. Whoever was in Ballwin today (8/5/20) was driving like a reckless fool. 10+ mph over the speed limit, darting in and out from one lane to the next, cutting people off, etc. Hopefully, you can correct this.

Chowning replaced our system with a heat pump, and we could not be happier. The install team was incredible. Price was extremely reasonable. The whole Chowning team was awesome and best of all we have a great new system. We will be referring this company always. Thanks again!

Had Chowning install a new HVAC system. We were extremely pleased with the professionalism of the service/installation team. My son has used them for his flip houses and now along with our other 2 children, we trust Chowning with all our HVAC needs.

I called them on Thursday, one of their techs came and checked my ac to see what was going on, he said that in the long run it would be better to replace the one I have, as it would happen each year. By Saturday afternoon a new unit was in and running great. The techs that came on sat were just great and gave us tips on how to keep it running for years to come. Highly recommend.

Missed not 1 but 2 major leaks in our inspection and then were rude when we asked for a re inspection and refund. The leaks were so bad my repair guy checked all the system and advised me it could have been serious. Then Chowning made me wait a month and 3 calls later for a refund.

Do not hire these people for your gas pressure test. They do not guarantee anything so you might as well give your money to the Salvation Army instead. Unfortunately we did not hire them but our reject inspector did.

Chowning is the only HVAC company I trust. Employees go out of their way to make sure my needs are met. The office staff are friendly and make sure all of my questions are answered. If you are looking for great service at a great price, look no further!

They came out looked at my furnace and found out that there really wasn't much wrong with it at all and told me that if I changed put a wire on it with a bigger one it would perform better. Then I was charged less than the bid I received over the phone. I don't see where they could improve anything but I was sure surprised how fast they resounded and was here in a hour or so chtarged less was friendly fast and very professional. Absolutely nothing bad to say

Chowning heating and cooling is the best in town. Our family was without heat, after hours on a cold December night. Adam came out got quick and got us back up and going. This is a great company, great price and very dependable. Thanks again.

Found them on Angies List, of the 4 contractors I contacted they were the only one to respond (in less than 10 minutes). Came out a day later, inspected my system and gave an honest repair quote (under 100) and applied the visit cost to my total bill. Very nice gentleman did our work and did a great job.

The worst experience I've ever had. I had to kick Barry the service guy off the job. Everything from screwing up the work order to begin with, to the service man throwing a temper tantrum when I wouldn't replace the furnace (which I was previously advised was fixable on my inspection) and then the Manager threw an attitude when I refused to pay for a guy that I had to kick off the job. I would stay away as far as you can and wouldn't recommend anyone use this company to anyone.

We have used Chowning for maintenance of AC in previous home and complete new install in our new home. Always professional, prompt, and competitive in pricing. We highly recommend this company.

Chowning has the best customer service of any HVAC company I've ever used! Adam Bradbury is extremely professional, unbelievably knowledgeable and very courteous and friendly. This company has great rates and truly cares about their clients. I would recommend them to anyone, they ALWAYS do a great job!

Avoid at all cost. Recently hired to replace a pressure relief valve which immediately leaked. Instead of fixing, they said to hire a plumber. Why did they put themselves out as an expert when I should’ve hired a plumber in the first place?
