Christian Hospital, St. Louis MO

I went to this hospital tonight and sat in the waiting room for almost 7hrs. I've been there twice before and had wonderful nurses and doctors but tonight I didn't even see a doctor. I had a doctor's assistant come in and ask me some questions and pretty much rolling her eyes and not caring then messed with my knee and left the room. About 15mins later a very nice nurse came in a gave me a pain med and said I was being discharged. I understand they were busy but they didn't even try to find out what was going on with my knee. I guess they figured my PCP will find out.

I have been on hold for over 35 minutes and counting waiting on the nurse for room 611 to pick up the phone. The nurse never even picked up the phone. I was transferred back to the nursing station and asked again for nurse for room 611. At 37 minutes, the nurses station has picked back up and said the nurse never picked up the phone, please transfer me to the social worker for room 611. The social worker did pick up the phone finally after 40 minutes.

E. R.staff was courteous and friendly and knowledgeable about their roles. They were sensitive to my needs and concerns. The services rendered were fast and efficient.

My brother is on the 8th floor. He has called for his nurse for over an hour. I have called the nurses station. He broke out in a sweat and is laying, unable to get up, in a wet bed in wet clothes and nobody is helping him! He is a stroke victim with limited speech so he called me. I was told I will let his nurse know. That was almost 25 minutes ago. Still nothing. I cannot get there to help him.

The front desk lady was really kind. The Nurses where friendly but weren't really caring about your situation. So take that how you would like. Honestly, i had to ask multiple times if orders for MRI were sent in (it was a let me see and no) and what do we do next. We didnt even get to see a Doctor. A Physician Assistant (Ms. Burris) was definitely rude, which surprised me because being a open person, her care was questioned.
I definitely could read her demeanor after she spoke. She even dismissed us in the middle of telling her why we where even there, to go answer her personal phone because it was ringing at the Nurses station. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND CHOOSE OTHER SURROUNDING AREAS. Such as Barns, Saint Lukes etc…. If possible! YOUR LIFE MEANS WAY MORE THAN THE CARE THEY GIVE? Hope this saves someone life

Nurses did not where gloves half the time the doctors and the nurses do not speak to help a patient and they lie about treatments… Doctor told me would not give me my medicine I could go home and take them and he would give me a work note when I went to leave 5-10 minutes later Doctor refused to give me a work note…. Just go to mercy hospitals don’t waist your time with the non Christian Christian hospitals

Live and learn, I learned I alone made a huge mistake walking into the cafeteria and will never walk in the again. $ 4.50 for a cookie and $3.50 for 4 very small pieces from salad bar. NEVER AGAIN

Absolutely no service around to help, nobody at the register, no security or nothing.absolutely nothing.we had to navigate ourselves.

I came in this week and my doctor didn’t tell me my diagnosis until I asked. He just came with lots of instructions with me feeling ill.

I went for acute sinusitis and sat in the E. R. For two hours the only thing they did was take my vitals. Of course I had this good enough sense to leave and go to an urgent care I was in and out in less than a half an hour with meds I'm thinking that you need to revamp your emergency room fire everybody and start over cuz y'all just killing people. So slooooooooow!

I was a out patient surgery patient and I want to say the reviews scared me! My experience was nothing like what is described. The staff was wonderful with me! I loved my care team as they went above and beyond making sure I was cared for and everything was explained too me step bye step! If I ever have a need to return for additional treatment, I will not hesitate using this hospital. I feel the bad reviews are those who want too be treated as only they are important not others who are there. Great job too all the outpatient staff!

If I could give them Zero stars I would! If you want to die go here! They don’t care about anyone not at all! Drs claim to not know your history as if it’s not in their charts!

Worst hospital ER ever. We need better facilities. I’ve been sitting here with my son since 5: 48pm and it’s now 12: 56am and their excuse is there are no rooms in the back. SMH

I’ve had a lot of hospital stays in my time. When I tell you that my stay at Christian has been the most positive experience I’ve ever had, that’s exactly what I mean. The staff was top-notch from beginning to end. This will definitely be my go-to hospital if, God forbid, I had to go back in.

Went to ER on 3/8/22, this was one of the worst nightmares we’ve seen. My 87 year old aunt was treated horribly. This is not medical treatment by shear torture.

If you don’t believe the death panel exists for the elderly you’re mistaken. They let my aunt sit for 41/2 hrs before seeing a Dr.that was treating her fir the incorrect medical need because they didn’t care to listen.

They did come when she called for help, they laughed at me when Ee asked why this was happening and why they wouldn’t help. The nurse was out of hunger and as clueless as can be.

They threatened us with taking away our aunt if we complained. They gave her one test, said it was negative, which were not sure if it was or not. And took another 2 1/2 hrs to release her. We were there for 7 hrs with nothing to drink or eat. What she was there for did not mandate no food/water.

We Tried to get help from a RN (long dark hair) that sat on the end on their station. She just said she send her nurse, never happened.

Another person there said to file a complaint against them so we have which was sent last night.

This is no hospital but a He## hole of ugliness and they’re allowed to destroy lives, homes, health

I gave Christian a 5/5 rating but would give more if I could. I was coming to the hospital for a serious surgery and needless to say I was anxious and had a family who were each having their own personal battles with my illness. From the minute we entered the doors we were treated with nothing but kindness and respect for the entire family. I did not encounter even one person from reception to anesthesia and all points in between that was anything but wonderful. They were gentle, caring, extremely knowledgeable and offered great tips and advice regarding my health. I am so thankful to God I was sent here. It’s an entirely different experience than any of the hospitals I’ve been to in the surroundings areas and I’ve been to basically all of them. The nurses are exceptional and I just loved every one of them! Christian Hospital leads the way in patient care!

I'm in here now. I didn't get my meds until after midnight and that's after I asked 4 times. This place is absolutely filthy and the food isn't fit to feed a dog. Get 2 choices and if you don't like it, they'll give you a sandwich.
I'm ready to have my family come get me.
