EDIT: My good friend brought me here to celebrate my Veterans Day and all I can say is wow what a difference. In two years the food quality skyrocketed, we had about 4 apps with each a steak entree and everything came out flawless.
Bravo to the chef and team as they turned my eyes around

Coming in here was fine, all the workers were very nice and helpful. The food was very good but the amount of food for price was very subpar. I had gotten a rack of lamb which said it was supposed to be 6 oz. The portion that came out was two measly bones for over $45. It was fantastic but I had to go home and eat a snack to fill up. For that cost it was not worth the meal, my date did enjoy her food

We had gone to attend a wedding in Four Seasons Hotel, St. Louis, Missouri & Cinder House & Bar is located on 8th floor. They have all kinds of alcoholic drinks but no HOT TEA or COFFEE. We were craving for a cup of tea but they flatly refuse it & made no effort what so ever to help us. It was little disappointing. Rest was all well. Plenty seating to wait for our next event. So, tea or coffee lovers, you have to carry your own. Good luck.

Wow! I made reservations for 4 to celebrate birthdays for my hubby and my best friend (they share a birthday month), and Cinder House did not disappoint! Impeccable service! Our server, Lisa went out of her way to make it a special night and had excellent recommendations. If you are lucky enough to go on a night they make the off menu Brazilian cheese bread, you MUST try. Trust me, it is mind blowing (and gluten free)! All of our entrees were amazing and we all wish we had bigger stomachs. Thank you Cinder House!

The apps were phenomenal; Steak Tartare and the Hen of the Woods. Burger was just OK and needed a little bit more to make it great. Overall a good experience and service was great.

First class food and dining experience. The service some in my party felt was a little slow. It really was more my pace so I have nothing bad to say about it. The food was fantastic, both in taste and presentation. And the location with its views? Well wow. It is not inexpensive, but if you're looking for a great dining experience, I would definitely recommend it.

A very confusing experience. I made reservations for my husband and I for our 1 year anniversary via OpenTable and marked that we were celebrating our anniversary.

- Arrived on time, noticed the restaurant was basically empty. When we were asked if we would like inside or outside we requested outside. Hostess proceeds to tell us that there were no tables in the shade so we changed to inside. Upon being seated next to the window directly facing the patio there were only 2 other tables on the patio and plenty of open seating in the shade. We also saw only one other couple seated on the patio during our entire meal, meaning that we could’ve likely been seated out there due to not being full of reservations.

- service was quite frankly atrocious for the Four Seasons. We ordered drinks upon being seated, my husband tea and myself an aperol spritz. He was brought his tea, and 5,10,15 min later no sign of my spritz even after ordering our entrees. I finally spoke up and it appeared to have been forgotten. Fine. Mistakes happen. Our waiter hollered over to the bar for my order, it was made in seconds, and then sat on the bar for another 5 minutes. I finally got up and grabbed the spritz because it was just sitting there. Did not see our waiter again until after our food had arrived so who knows when I would’ve gotten it.

- food was perfect. But my meal was missing the toast that I even specified with the waiter what type of toast I would like.

- no recognition of our anniversary. Then why even make it an option when making a reservation?

Overall very odd experience. I would’ve had more understanding if it was busy and they were understaffed but we were one of about 6 stables with multiple runners and wait staff around.

Wow, what an amazing place! The appetizer special, Dia's Cheese Bread was incredibly decadent. Butternut squash risotto was cooked perfectly & was delicious. Service was impeccable.
The view sitting outside was beautiful.
This is surprisingly a pretty laid back place despite being owned by a James Bears award winner. Hats off to him!

I had a great time here last Saturday night. I sat in the bar area, so I was only able to try a limited amount of the menu, but everything was on point. My favorite dish was the traditional empanadas. The beef maintained its juiciness and was extremely flavorful. The dough was also fried to perfection. Our server was very welcoming and attentive. He checked back every so often to make sure we were okay and even after we paid he didn’t try to rush us out, but suggested that we kick back and chill (he noticed how into the football game we were). I appreciate great service and food a lot, so I can’t wait to come back to Cinder House for dinner to experience the full menu!

Staff was a little uppity and not terribly good at their work. The food and atmosphere are top notch.

The food is insanely good. I stayed at the Four Seasons with my newlywed wife. At first I was a little put off by the negative reviews on Yelp, but we're still looking forward to trying the hotel restaurant. It turned out that the food was exquisitely prepared and presented with high culinary quality.

We're presented with amazing appetizers: Hen of the woods mushroom, paired with chorizo butter and pomme puree. Steak tart, a dish we never miss when we see it on the menu. The main course is the aged duck duo, duck rillettes, with Ocopa peanut sauce and farofa. For room service, we had caesar salad and mango-honeyed lamb ribs. After tasting it, I can safely say that the food at Cinder House is among the best in the St. Louis area.

Had a work group dinner here. Love the decor, low lightning and vibe. The cheesy bread and onion dip apps were fantastic. I was s little disappointed with the vegetable farro bowl, it was bland. There was no flavor to it. Two of us had that and thought the same thing. Everyone else said their meals were fantastic. Maybe an opportunity for them to revamp that item.

This place is highly recommended due to the ambiance and hospitality. It's a great view of the arch over looking the river with a great indoor outdoor experience. The wine is great and the bartender is very fun and creative. Enjoy.and relax We did.

Had the best time celebrating my wife’s birthday! We threw a surprise party and the staff went above and beyond every step of the way to ensure it was an amazing time! Jenna truly stepped up to make this special for my wife along with the team! The food was AMAZING! Thank you all! We now plan of coming back every year for Maher birthday.

Service was actually pretty bad. We kept having to look for our waitress and there was maybe a handful of patrons there. The brunch is not worth the price which is sad because its only $40. HOWEVER for $40 I expected more than a plate with 5 potatoes and an omelet. It seems to me that your paying for the views because that was the best part of my first time experience.

We celebrated closing on our house at Cinder House, and it was truly a five-star experience! We arrived a little before seating for dinner started, but got drinks at the bar. The bartender was super welcoming and did a great job finding a cocktail my mom liked based on just a quick description of her tastes. We were seated not long after and our table had a great view of the Arch: the restaurant is on the 8th floor of the Four Seasons hotel and has nice big windows. We took advantage of the hotel's valet parking.

Our server, Eric, was also great. He was friendly and attentive but unobtrusive at the same time. We got the mushroom appetizer and cheesy biscuits (an off the menu special), which were both spectacular. Everyone was happy with their entree round, too. I ordered the beet salad and the mussels, which were both fresh and tasty. The raspberry tart was the right balance of sour and sweet and the texture was perfect. This is a great place for any type of celebration!
