First year in a subdivision and received my first bill on February 1,2023. It says the "due date" was October 2022 and the "delinquency date" is February 15,2023. Never received an information from them before. But if you want to pay online, it's a TEN DOLLAR fee? Every part of this interaction has been gross.

$10 for an online transaction fee? !? Why is the best option to pay your HOA taxes through the mail, with a check? I don't write checks anymore, and don't use stamps. What are we, still in the 1990's? Allow online transactions paying from a bank account, and don't charge the BS convenience fees!

The negative reviews here are misleading. They are a bunch of cranks who are hacked off about having to pay their HOA fees. If you are an HOA trustee, City & Village provides great representation. The fact that City & Village helps the residents in the subdivision who do pay collect from deadbeats that do not pay should be a positive.

Reading the reviews and everybody who seems to be mad at this place should actually be made at their HOA. It seems like people don't understand that these people don't dictate how money is spent in your neighborhood and don't do anything regarding that. All they are is a collection company for your HOA fees. If something is messed up contact your HOA. Yelling at them is like yelling at your HOA's bank. It's not their fault if your trustees can't do their jobs.

Horrible service for 7 straight years. With a rude company owner. All over a receipt. When someone makes a HOA payment, the last thing they should have to do is fight for a receipt of that payment. I am absolutely disgusted with this process of calling every year and fighting for receipt of my payment. If I had the option to never do business with them again, I wouldn’t.

I was offered a job on the day of the interview. (Red Flag). I took the job, very unorganized company. Very little training. The owner is nice. The 2 women that run the office, not so much.

The fact that they don't offer an automatic payment option, the fact that they don't take payments over the phone, as well as the fact that they will tack on penalties clearly demonstrates that the reasoning behind these decisions is to squeeze funds out of their clients using the previously mentioned penalty fees. We're in the year 2022, if the business model doesn't represent ease of use for it's clientele then those spearheading this company are lacking in business prowess as well as general know how in regards to business management. Sad reputation you've built for yourselves. Hopefully they work on changing ownership or possibly remodeling the structure to help those that afford them a future in this industry.

Leaving this because I was shocked and worried about the reviews I saw for this office.

I have no idea what people have experienced but I just had the most pleasant interaction with everybody at this office. Everyone was so energetic and happy and smiling! Everyone seems like they’re best friends in there… And my work took less than 5 minutes to be done! Thanks Jennifer!

This company is a total joke. I was told by a trustee that I had to contact City and Village to get a copy of our HOA bylaws before they change them. What? This company never, and I mean, NEVER answers their phone. You cannot leave a message either. We have been paying this company every year without any visible improvements to our subdivision for the last 24 years. All of a sudden some supposed trustees want to change the bylaws that no one knows even existed. What a total racket.

New homeowner here.mailed my hoa payment in then received a unpaid with late fee assessment the next month. Not sure what the issue is because no one answers the phone apparently. Just learned about online option but a $10 processing fee is absurd.

Let's be honest here. If you are a HOA these people are wonderful because you don't have to do squat. If you are anything but HOA you hate them. Expect to be treated very much like you do at the DMV or worse. Their electronic payments that are made on their website do not post until somewhere between 24 to 48 hours and they charge a $10 fee to boot to make a payment through their website. I'm sure that any tax office holds their low Google rating up high as a badge of honor. That being said after I get this paid I'm going after my HOA on the trees from the common ground that are making contact with my house as well as the broken concrete curb that meets up to my driveway. I'm going to make sure that money gets put to some good use.

I absolutely love the. 95 “interest” fee on a HOA bill that was delayed in delivery due to COVID and their office being closed. Not only that, but all of our community events have been cancelled, garage sales, Easter hunts, etc, so there should have been a reduction. No updates on trustees, residents are on Nextdoor trying to get any info they can because City and Village won’t answer the phone. Do better.

We use them for our HOA and they’re very responsive and easy to work with. Definitely recommend!

I have called repeatedly during regular business hours, no one will answer the phone.
I went to the website to confirm that I was calling the right number, which I was.
I can see their overall poor feedback. One thing stands out to me which is that the 5 star feedback is being left by those in positions of authority such as HOA presidents. Those simply trying to get information or pay a bill are treated poorly.
I think that says a lot about both parties, those only concerned about having the red carpet rolled out for themselves with no concern as to how those within the subdivision are treated. In fact, not even acknowledging the poor treatment, but trying to cancel it out by leaving a 5 star review.
And then the ones who are paid to do a job yet refuse to do it in a way that is considerate of those simply trying to care for their bill. The old office biddies trying to pull a power play. Nothing new, but still disgusting.
