Clayton Nail Spa on Maryland reviews
14Today I stopped by to make an appointment. I asked for an appointment some time tomorrow with Sam. I was told I had to call back later because she was busy. I told the receptionist I don’t wanna call back later because I’m already here but she refused to ask Sam for her availability. I left and called back because I still want an appointment with Sam. When I called I was told no one named Sam works there. I responded that I know Sam works there because I’ve had appointments with her before. I was then told that she’s booked solid. If she was booked then why wasn’t I told so when I came in to make the appointment? If Sam was no longer employed there why wasn’t that made known when I stopped by? My issue isn’t poor services rendered it’s poor customer service by the receptionist. I don’t believe in working hard at spending my money with a business because I can get this service elsewhere with much less hassle.
Nina is AWESOME! She is very experienced and friendly. She is a really fun person, I have never had a bad experience here!
This so called business is trash they rush and the work is sloppy service horrible and over priced negative stars (-10) filling for $60 and the fill is worst then the new set that’s supposed to be easier please step up or close down cause your given trash to paying customers Do better. How the nails leaning to the side and I came in with them all str8. Make it make sense.
This location does a great job on nails. It gets busy, so recommend an appointment. Very detail oriented and you’ll never walk out feeling like you overpaid
Great experience! Beautiful salon just walking in puts you at ease. It was very busy but I made my appointment online so I was taken back before I had a chance to choose my color. Everyone was friendly especially my tech, Nina. She was a lot of fun to work with and gave me exactly what I asked for. We joked about it a lot but she delivered and I’m very pleased. After not getting acrylics for 15+ years, I think I might be back in action!
I have been going here for years… love this place. Very courteous and they always run on time!
My dip nails had to be redone before I even left. One day later one of them chips. It's bad every time unfortunately.
The atmosphere is very nice and it's clean and they are attentive to what you come in for.
I will not be going back.
I went based on previous reviews. You are paying for atmosphere and I guess location. I went out of my way to go there. Their “menu” of prices is not updated. I told my nail stylist that I wanted the Gel Mani+Pedi combo. He said that no longer exists. He said I could choose from any of the pedicure options and gel would be an additional $20.
$20…for gel polish. That made absolutely no sense. This was not a high end nail salon.
So I got the basic pedicure. This was literally the bare minimum for $29. I’m so mad I tipped. This nail stylist didn’t add top coat until after I was done with my nails. Which he should of done before he started my manicure.
He made me sit under a foot vent and left. I asked other stylists how long I should wait. One woman told me 30-45 mins since it was a regular polish pedicure. Another nail tech said wait 15 mins and she will put oil so I could leave faster. I told her okay.
I trusted them since they are “certified. ” My pedicure is ruined. I’m not sure why she would recommend oil and wrapping my feet knowing it would ruin my nails. I can’t believe I listened. This place is not worth the money.
A gel mani and basic polish was $64. I’ve gotten a gel mani-pedi for $50 in St. Louis before and the quality was way better than this place.
Do not go here.
Unless you want to be in a semi decent space, that is overpriced, and does not deliver.
Worst yet I can’t seem to find a nail salon in Stl at all! I asked for a mani/pedi gel polish and a acrylic fill. The pedicure was going ok until she stopped cutting the skin around my toes to paint my toe nails, she said it would be better for the polish to finish after. Well I thought it was stupid but I let her finish, I was right. So much skin left on my toes I had to ask her to go back to each one to clean up. She said oil would take care of it. Honestly when I go for a service I expect the technicians know how to do it. Anyway got a manager they gaslighted me like I can’t see the extra skin, so I asked for the polish to be removed, paid for manicure and left. I hate feeling like I was taken advantage of but they won this time. I’ll never go back I’m sure they don’t care. But I want the service I pay for. I hate to feel ripped off but I do.
The tech was a little rough with my hands, she took off a bit of skin with the filing drill. Also used way too much cuticle oil at the end. But overall I can't complain about the results, the shaping and design is very uniform and natural. She also worked with me to find a solution for the design I wanted. I would return here based on the results.
Here for the first time yesterday 11/1. Van did a great job and I will be coming back. Not in my area but worth the drive
They get a star for good customer service. I wanted gel and they put regular polish on which didn’t last the week and half to my vacation. They did offer to reimburse me or redo the polish but I was in a rush. I was disappointed. I’ve had at home polish jobs do better than this.
Really great quality work, they’re clean and my nails don’t look like trash a day after leaving. This is one of the better salons I’ve found since moving to St. Louis.
