Comfort Suites Jackson-Cape Girardeau

Greeted and checked in quickly, that's how we like it. The rooms are large and comfortable. There are nice amenities. Three levels all access is through the lobby. Nice breakfast.

From checkin, until the checkout, (which happened to be not too long after we checked in,) was nothing special. The room itself was decent and clean, with the exception of a few dead beetles. The front desk clerk who checked us in, (Mariah) was on her phone when we initially came in. There was no greeting, no smile, etc. Nothing unexpected honestly. No amenities were explained, all she said was that our room was on the first floor. Fast forward to a couple of hours later.the jacuzzi in our room set the fire alarms off. Now, that being said, when the alarms stopped, we recieved a call from Mariah, who accused us of smoking in the room. When i told her about the jacuzzi, she let us know that the fire dept. Would be coming to search the room.once the fire dept confirmed what initially told her, she literally just walked off. No apology, still the same rude demeanor we experienced at check in. We decided to leave, after we argued about receiving a refund. Now, working for Choice Hotels myself, for over 5 years, i have never in my life experienced worse customer service.i was beside myself. An extremely poor representation of choice hotels, to say the least.

It was great. Just a few minor things. There was a dent in the wall, but we said something. There was a smell of smoke and when I was trying to sleep. Bit I did though. Just turned the other way and slept. Usually, the hotels I go to have black-out shades

First room the sheets had yellow stains (did not look clean at all) and fridge did not work. They gave me a new room immediately. It was acceptable.some large pieces of crackers under coffee table but I was exhausted from driving all day so no deal breaker. Breakfast selection was carbs, carbs and more carbs. Will not stay again.

Breakfast is a different story. Started to get a bagel. No cream cheese. Went instead to cereal. No milk. Rang bell at desk. No help. Phone at front desk is ringing off the hook (we're here right now). Someone should be on duty right now

We enjoyed our weekend stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, albeit a bit worn. Our king suite had a comfy sofa and coffee table for Netflix and games, and the hotel adopted extra measures to serve breakfast safely in this time of pandemic. The location was ideal, just across from Delmonicos and a short drive from a half dozen or more fast food and sit down options.

Terrible smell in our room and the place wasn't clean. They made a million excuses and showed us another room that wasn't much better. The manager promises that we won't be charged for the room so we'll see. Either way we won't return.

Still haven't gotten the refund I was promised.just to update.

Clean rooms, courteous staff. Just one complaint. The photos show a hot tub. These are old photos. The hot tub has been filled in with cement! Other than that, no complaints.

Nice stay. Very quiet in the halls, time of year I guess. Nice restaurant - Delmonicos - across the street. Breakfast was adequate
