Comfort Suites Kansas City-Liberty

I recently had a difficult family medical situation that required me to stay for a week, and I ended up needing a different type of room mid-stay. I also had to add two more rooms at the end of the stay and the staff at this motel was amazing with helping me figure out how to get the best rates for all of these changes! By the time I left the staff recognized me and asked for updates on my family member. I really felt like the staff was concerned about me and the others I brought to the motel and they really did all they could to help us out. This isn't the newest motel, but the rooms were comfortable and clean, everything worked, and the breakfast was consistent and tasty each morning.

I stopped by here to drop off an UberEats order and was a little bit shocked at how nice this hotel is. I'd most certainly be interested in spending a night or two here

Just avoid this location, there are better places just 10 feet away!

Thanks to this location. My Dr was able to discover, I am severely Allergic to BED BUGS!

Likely why their halls were full of used mattresses this weekend.

I tried to cancel my 3 rooms we reserved over the phone, but the night associate (whose name tag was upside down and worn out to much to read)

This older lady reasoned her husband to be a lawyer so she has no reason to offer a refund.

Due to the fact that she would NOT allow us to CHECK in under our reservation.

But 5 minutes later she ACCEPTED us after purchasing 3 ADDITIONAL rooms on Expedia.

Hoping to speak to management, and explain we deserve a full refund as we arrived for the reservation, but the staff refused to let us check in.

Having an allergic reaction to bed bugs we were unable to stay the full night, and as of yet, we can not reach the location manager, Mrs. Wang.

Of those, even after a few days of treatment, these bites still continue to be extremely painful.

Room smelled a bit musty and the beds were lumpy. Lots of grease/tar stains on floors and in bathroom from construction workers using hotel. It was ok for a quick overnight stay while traveling though but would not stay for multiple nights in row

Bathroom floor was dirty that my 8 year old painted it out. The lobby played music all nice and we could hear it in our room. Carpets were not clean and the room smelt.

There is an overnight girl and I believe her name is Jamie. She's a phenomenal worker. She'll do anything she can to make your stay the best you've had. Anytime I'm in town I always try and stay here. I'm sure she would make a good manager. Choice Hotels, you need to hang on to this one.

Amazing hotel awesome house keepers and front desk fool, they come nd clean my room every other day rooms amazing too nd breakfast

Rented the room for my 20 year old and 18 year old traveling home on Christmas break. 11pm they arrive only to be told the reservation won’t be honored because my son is under 21. Desk personnel was very rude suggested I come personally to sign them in. Stated that she didn’t normally check IDs but he looked young. Great to admit you only sometimes do your job and then feel comfortable sending two young people out late at night in an unfamiliar place with nowhere to stay. I’m so upset that they were willing to endanger my kids over a policy the front desk admitted they arbitrarily enforce, with no warning whatsoever on their site. Way to go Comfort Inn, leaving young people stranded.

Absolutely worst place to work for, so many areas of concern not only with employees taking risks not getting paid due to someone approving paying hours already worked, on top of the acceptance to let cleaning and sanitation slide to make a room available to the public listed as clean fyi check the bath tubs a little bit closer, and the back and bottom of the toilet bowls. They do not actually do the blue light sanitization they display signs all throughout the building saying they do. Currently filing a complaint with the better business bureau as well as the us department of labor.

My daughter booked me a weekend stay to relax and rewind. She booked the king suite that has a jet tub. The jet tub was dirty, the shower/tub and sink in the bathroom was filthy. The floor was dirty. Also, there is a set of sheer curtains without the ability to draw the other curtains closed. I am in the bottom floor where someone can just walk right up to my window and hold a conversation with me. I have no privacy with this huge window that people can look in on me.

The king room was huge. The bed slept well The location was great for someone who will be staying awhile. There are several places near it and it appears to be safe.

I did not particular like the room based on it being a bit outdated floor wise. The breakfast was over waaaayyyy to early 6-9. Most people are just getting started at 9am on a Sunday.

I probably would not stay there again because the price was comparable to Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn which were very close to Comfort Suites.

If it was cheaper I will be willing to stay.

Nice hotel. Public spaces and room were clean and well maintained. Decent breakfast with eggs, sausage and standard carbs. Fruit was not the greatest/freshest (which can be hard to keep up with I imagine) but coffee and yogurt were good. Unusual design of rooms- with archway of sorts separating bed area from couch/desk area. Reminded me of upscale hotel we had in NOLA. Definitely would stay again. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

If I could give it 0 stars I would! My 3 year old had a bottle of the milk I got from the breakfast area and within 20 minutes he was puking. Before that he was perfectly fine and happy and boom out of no where he started throwing up. We ended up having to drive 4 hours home and miss Thanksgiving with our family. He puked almost the entire way home till every last bit of the milk was out of his system and then he was fine. He had not eaten or drank anything else that morning before he got sick and when we called his doctor they said he must have gotten bad milk. Not only that but our room was dirty and smelled bad. There were no extra sheets or blankets for the pullout couch either. When I finally got a hold of the general manager she told me that I couldn't prove he got sick from the milk and I stayed in the room so it must not have been that bad. She was extremely rude and didn't seem to care at all about what I was saying. I will never stay at this chain again.

After my ordeal at Holiday Inn, my stay was more pleasant. Housekeepers were Excellent and very helpful. My rooms was spacious and clean, comfortable. The only issue was poor mismanagement again. The Asian woman at front desk and very rude and complained about not liking her job. To me that seems un appropriate. Not professional.

We had to change rooms 3 times and then left without a refund because it was so dirty. We arrived at 9: 45pm. The hall ways and elevator floor were very dirty. Something had been spilled and tracked every where on all three floors. The carpeted areas in the hall ways looked like they had not been vacuumed in quit a while. The walls of the elevator were very dirty. The first room we went to had something that looked like vomit or diarrhea clogging up the bathroom sink. We told the desk and got a different room. The 2nd room smelled extremely bad as soon as we opened the door and there was something brown on the front of the toilet. We went to the desk and asked if I could get a refund. They said no because I got the prepaid rate (I will never do that again). So, we got another room. This one seemed ok until we pulled down the bed comforter. The sheets had some black specks in them that looked like dirt and there was a short hair in one bed. It was obvious that they had not been changed. We left after that and found another hotel. I have always trusted Comfort Inn hotels, but this one was a horrible experience. I have traveled a lot and stayed in many hotels. This was by far the dirtiest one I have ever been inside.
