Consultants in Gastroenterology, P.C. reviews
13I was seen by APRN Jana Soule, from the second she walked through the door it was apparent she did not want to be there. She was off-putting, dismissive and condescending. At one point I asked her if was inconveniencing her because of the way she was acting. She asked very few questions and dismissed a lot of my symptoms. I asked if she wanted prior imaging and reports, she could have cared less about receiving them. Terrible experience.
Where do I start? Both Kristina and Johnna have been unbelievably helpful and wonderful and professional! Both ladies were kind, patient and caring listeners. They came up with a plan and tests to cover every possible issue. I will forever be grateful for everyone in this GI practice- the nurses, the Dr.s, the portal nurses- everyone! Thank you again, Anne Deaver.
I was treated courteously and respectfully. The NP listened and made knowledgeable suggestions for how to proceed. I feel like we're on the right track!
I see the nurse practitioner & she’s fine. Do wish they would write down any nonprescription suggestions. I’m old & remembering everything is difficult
Saw the nurse practitioner, she’s has no bedside manner, and couldn’t answer my questions. I had recently been diagnosed with a liver disorder, and she asked me if I drank alcohol all the time. Made an appointment at the Mayo Clinic, and was told my disorder didn’t have anything to do with alcohol consumption. I wouldn’t send anyone to this practice.
Everyone’s professional, polite and knowledgeable. I have no complaints, good professional environment.
Update: GO TO SAINT LUKES (Mid America Gastroenterology). My condition was worsening after getting no help from CIG (I was told to take more Vitamin D? !). MAGIC's doctors rescoped me and immediately started me on a biologic, and I'm feeling insanely better. I'm certain I would have lost part of my colon if I stayed with CIG, but now I'm getting into remission.
This place is a joke, but options are unfortunately extremely limited in KC. Went in for a follow up since my current medications weren't really working, saw an NP for 3 minutes tops, and was told come back in a few months for another follow up.
There's a 99% chance if you call, you'll get sent to voicemail and never get a response, no matter what time of day you call.
If your insurance covers a different place in KC, avoid this place like the plague.
I feel as if this was an unnecessary visit seems my physician had already went over everything and ordered a colonoscopy. Appeared to be a money racketeering visit!
Everyone was very nice, friendly and interested in my concerns and trying to help and find out what was causing the issue.
I was actually the first patient of the day was treated, wonderfully from the receptionist to the nurses to the anesthesiologist to the doctor they were all very kind and very thorough and I was out of there and just barely over an hour.
Went to them for a couple years for infusions. Here's what I've experienced lately:
-Called several times and played phone tag with their call center to get scheduled for an infusion.
-Was told over a week after requesting an infusion that they no longer cover my medicine.
-After being told they were transferring my paperwork somewhere else they have yet to transfer the paperwork. It's been almost 3 weeks since I called.
Now I'm regressing to pre-treatment symptoms and I won't be getting an infusion for at least another 2 weeks due to their lack of urgency.
I saw the nurse practitioner for maybe 5 minutes and was extremely disappointed with the care I received. I have had a health issue for years that seems to be being misdiagnosed. She did not care to ask helpful questions, her tone was extremely rude and dismissive. She seemed annoyed to be speaking with me since I’ve already had scans/prescriptions/procedures for this specific health issue. When I brought up another issue that I have been concerned about she said “let’s not go looking for problems. ” She then proceeded to prescribe me a medication that I have already used and told her did not work for me. I left the appointment very upset and hopeless. It’s healthcare professionals like these that make me think I should have saved the money on a babysitter and just stayed home.
The person interviewing me asked me the same question several times. They just wanted to set me up on a program where I was going to be charge for months for a minimal treatment. I felt very un heard. Got charged 75 after insurance and didn't do anything for me, not even listen. I won't be back. That visit felt very awkward.
