County Market, Vandalia MO

We are travelers in a motorhome. Hubby was tired and asked if we could just park in the lot for the night and she agreed. Thank you! Our previous picked spot had fallen through and we were desperate. Nice store, great people.

Very disappointed they took the weekly ads out of the paper, and now they are not available in the store. I will be limiting my shopping there.

I have a neutral opinion about County Market. Shopping here isn't a great experience, but it's not a bad experience either. As a small town market, the selection is fair, but the prices are on the high side. I generally just shop here for sale items or for something I absolutely need. I'm not impressed with the meat department and therefore I avoid it as much as possible.

The economy has really done a number on County Market and it shows. Hopefully they'll come out of it and get back to the way they once were. I believe in supporting the local businesses, but I'm not going to break the bank doing so. You'll want to keep an eye on the advertised prices and always take your receipt because all too often there are discrepancies with pricing.

Meat is always aged, doesn't look fresh.the whole store feels so cluttered.to much crammed into such a small store.less is more

A lot of expiration date items been bought didn't know until I got home and started using. Except the time I was buying milk few days passed and they wanted to charge full price.

I asked for London Broil at the deli counter, I had to repeat it 3 times and then I was asked to define it. I explained it was roast beef on the rare side. And that all the delis back home have it. I was told they have ham, turkey and bologna. And sure enough, that's all they have. We got turkey instead. The folks at county market are super nice.

This place is fantastic, with great food and the woman that runs it is so sweet and funny. She's over half the reason we go, I'm new to the area and she was welcoming and kind, she remembers us every time we go. Highly recommend it not only for the food, but the quality of service to anyone that walks through the door.

Prices are high, very high on many items. When they started their new ditatal coupon they had to input it into my phone because it did not work well. It works much better now but. This gave me two coupon numbers and months later they have been unable to get them together so i was unable to take advantage of their free gift. The employees are helpful and hard workering. They are overworked and under paid. The employees are their redeeming grace.
