Cracker Barrel Old Country Store reviews
17We went for dinner on Thanksgiving evening. We did not have turkey and fixins. Every thing was really good and our waitress was great and friendly!
Food was terrible. Completely bland, and hardly any sauces. You could tell that the chicken dumplings were pre packaged and just dumped on the plate.the waitress was great though.
We had a group of 26. We had called ahead by a day and gave them a time when we'd arrive to get ready for us. Had one waitress that served all of us. She did an amazing job! Food was out in a timely manner. It all came out hot for all of us at the same time.
It’s disappointing that a restaurant that caters to travelers has little to offer a person with celiac disease. If you ask for a Gluten Free menu they hand you a book with every item they have on the menu, from a steak to a packet of ketchup. Then you have to sit with the book and a menu to decipher what you can eat. I don’t know about you but when I’m hungry, I want to eat not study a book and keep everyone at my table from ordering while I have to do my homework. It’s old school, and it makes for a horrible meal for everyone. These are obstacles I faced when I was first diagnosed, 7 years ago. I’m thankful for the restaurants whom actually have a GF menu, with real meals, where you pay for what you get. Our server had zero knowledge about the menu and what contained Gluten. The manager never came to offer help. I ate grilled chicken, and brought my own bread. I could have ordered breakfast but I would have had to pay for items I would have to omit due to no substitutions for their Gluten items that come with their breakfast. They charge the same amount but you don’t get the gluten items. They then sell the same item to the next customer and receive money for the items twice. I have tried 3 different locations and found this issue across the board. I once loved you but now I boycott you!
There was no wait to be seated and shortly afterwards our waiter came and took are orders. We didn't have to wait long for our hot delicous meal.
Friendly staff, great service, delicious food and bonus shopping while you wait! It was Thanksgiving and they did an awesome job all the way around.
This location has went way downhill. New management? I don’t know but it smells dirty and needs cleaned. The pancakes were so tough I needed more than a butter knife to cut them, which I didn’t because they were not worth the trouble. Disappointing, it used to be so much better. No one asked how it was which has also changed from past visits when a manager would walk around and check on tables.
Cracker Barrel is always a family favorite. You can always find something to please everyone. The gift store is an added bonus. Check them out online too.
Are waitress was not very good. She never came back to see if we needed drink refills. When she brought are food it was just warm and we were done eating and had to wait for are check.
Food was hot and as we ordered it. Service was good but not great. Had to ask the manager for another drink since our waitress never returned to check on me.
I don't like the downsized menu at all, but the food was good and the service was even better. Great place to stop while traveling. Very inexpensive.
My Grandma cooked these type of Biscuits from scratch every morning from a Wood Cook Stove. Theirs taste JUST Like hers and she wouldn't give her recipe out.
This store was the perfect place for brunch on our trip. The Smokehouse Breakfast was great and the smoked sausage patties are really, really good! My other half had the Sunrise Sampler and they got her eggs-over-medium just right. Their biscuit-and-gravy with "All-the-Fixin's" is really good, too. The staff was friendly and the bathrooms were decent. Highly recommended.
They always have great prices on food and I adore there gift shop and attentive employees they don't get really packed out sometimes though and with the pandemic makes me not be able to go but really great most of the time.
I was there on Friday October 8th for lunch. Always have great food. This day it was very Disappointing. Grilled chicken strips were overcooked and dry. The mashed potatoes were so dry that they were crusty and the carrots were also dry. I don't know what was going on but not a common occurrence.
I was disappointed, I have been ordering the catfish for over 30 yrs, the last 2 times they have not had catfish, they say there is a shortage of catfish but when I go to Farmington, Mo. Katfish Kettle always has all you can eat catfish!
Joe is hands down the best server ever! We go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast every Friday morning & Joe always gets us taken well care of. Great guy!
