I’m still in shock! My husband and I just moved to Missouri because he started a new job so we applied at the apartments and talk to Miss Vicky. She knew that he was the only one working, I wasn’t yet because we just moved here but he makes more than enough money to pay for the apartment. She said everything looked good so we paid her for the background check and the application fees gave her all the documents she want it. I called her today and she says she has an apartment but I can only have it if I get a job too, I told her that my husband makes more than enough money, and I plan on getting a job, as soon as we get settled so I asked her what the problem was and she said because my husband might get mad and leave me then I won’t have any money!? I’m still in shock! My husband and I have a great relationship. She has no right to say that so we will take our deposit money and go somewhere where they have a manager that is professional!

Nearly a year and the laundry room is still shut down, yet every year rent goes up. The reviews speak for themselves, do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to live.

Was there back when it was A OK apt. It was OK to live. Wish the tenants had access to the basement. Management would work with you to a point. Windows are of the 70s type.

Vicky wasted my time and kept my application processing fee even though she said she wouldn’t process the application until she had all required documents. I found a better location and when I asked for a return the $40 processing fee. Vicky refused. Saying she had already begun processing the application even though she clearly stated she would not begin processing until I provided her with a background check (at my own expense) and a copy of my SS Card which I have yet to this day provide. Not only am I out the $40 fee, but also, $15 for a background check from the state which I have yet to receive and no longer need. There should be a law, this is highway robbery!

DO NOT RENT HERE!

I started having contact with Ms. Vicki Breakfield, apartment manager, in the month of February regarding my relocation to St. Peters from Springfield MO, and my interest in her apartment complex. She informed me that she had no spaces available and to reach out in late March/early April.

On March 27 I sent Vicki Breakfield the required documentation that she asked for to engage the leasing process, as well as a $100 payment to hold the apartment. On March 29, Breakfield contacted me and told me that I was missing some documentation and that she needed additional information. The additional information was sent to her on that day. She then asked me, via email " Do you have employment in Saint Louis"? I informed her that I was considering multiple job offers at the time, but that I had already sent her 3 pay stubs that she had asked for that showed verifiable income that I was making in Springfield MO. Breakfield, would not accept these because my income was based in Springfield MO. I considered this ridiculous, but informed Breakfield that I would send her a copy of an offer letter once I made the decision on the position that I would accept. I took two days to discuss the multiple job opportunities with my family, and emailed her the offer letter that I accepted on April 1st, three days later. I received no communication from Breakfield, and on April 4th I called the office to inquire about the apartment unit that I applied for, and paid a HOLDING FEE for. Breakfield then informed me that she had leased the apartment to another applicant because apparently the time from March 29th until April 1st was to long for her to wait for my offer letter. In all honestly, I don't know the legalties behind what Breakfield has done, but I do believe that after a payment of $100 for a HOLDING fee there were a few things that I should have been entitled to.

1. Consistent and clear communication
2. The apartment being HELD due to her accepting a HOLDING fee
3. A deadline of when the apartment could no longer be held.
4. If the apartment was given to someone else. Information about when my holding fee would be sent to me, how it would be sent, and when I could expect it.

I received none of these things from Breakfield, and i definitely should not have had to call to her to get information that the apartment had been given to someone else. At a minimum, arrangements for another apartment should have been made for me, and that wasn't even done. I asked her what she could do to resolve the situation, and she said, " I'll see what I can do", which turned out to be absolutely nothing.

On top of all of this, Breakfield has been rude, disrespectful, and totally lacking in customer service skills throughout this whole process. I have had to engage the Better Business Bureau on this situation, and I am currently waiting on a resolution.

Save your trouble, and DO NOT rent at Creekside Apartments, or any other property that Vicki Breakfield is in charge of or associated with.

Is there an option for 0 stars? I agree with most reviews, Vicky the "manager" and is very dry, unmannerly and impolite. If you apply she will tell you you'll get your application fee back but when will refuse to once she decides not to accept your application. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Save yourself some time and look elsewhere.

Was interested in these apartments for the location and price. Met with Vicki once. She had me fill out a paper that seemed to allow dogs/cats but wouldn't allow my 5 inch caged tortoise. A SMALL/CAGED tortoise. Lost our business.
