Omg I was a youth here years ago back in 2016. I was staying in the residential part of this facility due to me being in foster care and my caseworker not able to find me a home. I was admitted here for about a year until I turned 17 and was able to sign myself out due to being a adult in Missouri at that age. This place is absolutely terrible for a child to live in. From staff using medical restraints to make you pass out to staff fighting you hands on to restrain you if you have a bad day or something. Some kids would walk away with broken arms. I luckily never got into any of that stuff but seeing it first hand was traumatic. You literally feel like your in a juvenile hall camp facility only difference is some residential units were co-Ed. Please stay away from bringing your children here.just keep trying to talk to them, help them understand what they are doing is wrong and how it can effect them in the future. Admitting them here will only close the gap on your relationship with your child in the near future. This place is traumatizing, I’m just surprised the kids I grew up with back in 2016 at this place aren’t thinking back and realizing how crazy this place really is. Hopefully later in life they will think about this place and feel the need to express how they experienced this place.

I went here multiple times as a kid/teenager and they always were friendly and helped teach me a lot of coping skills, how to talk with people (I'm slightly antisocial), and helped me get myself stable. They're amazing and I'm still friends with two of the staff members who helped me when I was at my lowest point.
