Crosslines Ministries - Joplin reviews
16If you need a hand up, this organization will take care of your needs. Anywhere from food and commodities to help with utilities. They even have clothing if you need them.
Great people, very helpful and friendly. Lots of help and resources. Plus someone to listen to you and will help figure out your problems
Disappointed there is an income guideline. Sit takes a lot to swallow pride and ask for help then get told we can't because you make yo much. They did offer peaches and lines that were outside.
I took a friend to get commodities. She got one box of stuff. Donations are down everywhere.
I volunteer here, and I love it because of the customer-service attitudes of the other volunteers. They behave as though they are serving patrons, not clients, and are very particular in their standards for what articles are in good enough condition to be offered. Textiles which are stained or smelly, or cookware and toys that don't appear to be in safe condition, are sent for recycling (so please don't donate them here!). It's hard work sorting and preparing the clothes and linens, but the volunteers make the environment pleasant. Most are retirees, many with physical health issues limiting their range of movement or stamina, while others are disabled, currently unemployed and seeking work, or stay-at-home moms who bring their older kids while on summer vacation, but all are present because they can see the benefit of their work and want to continue to contribute to their community. I'm proud to assist in such a beneficial ministry.
They're the most beautiful people there to help. They have helped me through tuff times!
Great people, very helpful
Highly recommend to anyone in need.
They offer a variety of services without judgment!
If you need a hand please go here. Very friendly people and they didn't judge. We are currently living in our van and the only thing they asked was what is easier for us to cook. I was expecting a small bag or box, but they gave me an entire cart full! This will last us weeks plus I was able to share with other family members. May God continue to bless you and your work
(Stretching our legs camping, we had some great meals this weekend!)
Great place to go when you're in a pinch. They're not judgemental.willing to help and kind.
Great place to receive extra groceries when needed. Commodities are a great help on a regular monthly basis.
If you are in a bind financially and could use some extra groceries these fine people help.
Always when we are need of things for clothing and food for our family. They are wonderful and do amazing at helping when it's needed. Thank you and god bless
Each time I have gone to get commodities they've loaded me down! The people that work at Crosslines are extraordinary because they don't judge me for being poor, always courteous and friendly, and it's always been easy in and easy out!
Very helpful, kind and understanding people. They have helped me in times of hardship several times.
Really friendly staff was not in their service area but they still gave our family a box of food and a sack lunch and also let us fill up a bag of clothes if you're in need they will help. God bless all of you workers that work there thank you so much
Very helpful in unloading donations but surprised not seeing smacks worn with the older volunteers theere
