Crows Creek Campground, Smithville MO

Everytime ive camped here theres a snake in the bathroom. Sites are to close together and shared drive ways that just dont make since because one vehical is gonna block the other site from getting in and out sites are just to small.

These greedy pieces of you know what charge you a $6.00 vehicle pass fee, and charge $40.00 dollars a night for electric sights. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and camp literaly anywhere else.

Found a nice spot by the water. Nothing available in Jackson County so we found this place. Quite enjoyable. Well maintained campground. Friendly folks.

Great place to camp. Just come and pick your perfect spot. We got a spot with trees all around and had shade all day.

We keep coming back because there's a lot for the kids to do, and it's pretty well maintained. The main drawbacks are there's not a lot of trees around some of the sites, most of the beaches are mucky, and the checkout time is a little off. For some reason, Sunday's is really late (3p), but Tuesday's (and other week days is quite early (11a). For tent campers like us, that's really pushing it.

I like it, but there are not enough shade trees in Loop D. Also at the waters edge where shade is not needed, there is a line of small trees that block the view across the bay to the swimming area. The bathrooms are kept well.
The swimming area could use some benches or picnic tables.

This place has really improved over the years! Aside from sleeping on the hard ground, it was really nice. Quiet and friendly neighbors.

Open and clean green fields. There’s a trail that I assume goes around the lake. The few times we’ve been there weren’t very many people, just a few on bikes

Nice campground, great trails for bicycles, easy access to the lake. Campsites are really expensive in Missouri, I paid for tent camping with no electricity or water but I have paid for an electric and water site in other states.

Had such a great time with family. Worked both nights so I couldn't stay the entire time the family was there but the 2 afternoons I spent there were some of the best ive had in a long time.

The campsites had lots of litter and there was very little enforcement of any of the rules. This means quiet time was anything but quiet, drinking publicly in areas clearly marked as prohibiting that were ignored, and even signs that said there was going to be a nature presentation on two evenings were all incorrect. The swimming areas are far from campgrounds. Other than the litter issue they were well taken care of. Bathroom and shower facilities were fairly clean and well maintained. Some of the sites had no shade at all. If you stay here and want shade, stay in the inner areas or toward the back side of the loop. We tent camped for two nights in loop D on a Friday and Saturday. Overall it was ok for what we needed but I will not be returning.

Very nice place. Grass to the water. Clean and well maintained. We stayed only one night in the middle of the week and it was not full at all. Quiet, people were respectful. Showers were a bit dated and the lights didn't work but it's nice to have hot water when you're traveling. Would definitely like to come back here for an extended stay.

Fun family place to camp out and enjoy the out doors. I found the campsites all had good space and we're not far from the lake shore. Restrooms were well kept, well lit, and clean. Convenient place as you enter to purchase wood or ice in case you need it or need more. Sites were clean and plenty of shades camp slots if you need a break from the sun.

Plenty of wildlife and fishing from shore.was nice and pleasant. The only negative to the whole trip was the cup full of cigarette butts in the fire pits and it was not just ours. Parks people should not have pick them up either. Maybe charge the registered camp site person a fee for clean u if butts are left.

Campground host was a crank. Had to listen to 20 minutes of political hate speech while I checked on. Terrible.

The campground is huge 400 sites and lots of great lake spots and plenty to do.

There is also a nice multi use path that runs along the lake. Very cool.

This really is an awesome campground. For a reasonable price, you get hot showers, clean bathrooms, responsive camp overseers and a beautiful reservoir to enjoy. Seriously though, the reservoir is amazing. That water is very, very warm, and extremely shallow, perfect for a fun experience with your family.

There are some great camping spots but they are a little higher than other camping places. I would have given 5 stars if they were cheaper.

5 star to the property, it is beautiful here. But only one star for how thing's is setup here, there ain't really hot watter in the shower's. You need to be able to connect with the hydro to was dishes
