Cuivre River Camp reviews
11We had our wedding here at our campsites and it was a great time and the park is beautiful. It was hard to find the campsites for a lot of people and the address for the park isn't very accurate and takes people to some creepy driveway. The restrooms at camp are very well kept and the showers were great.
Clean and spread out campsites.
Decent bathrooms
Cheap kayak rentals
Lots of hiking
Beautiful park! Lots of trails to hike and nice campgrounds that aren't too packed in.
Wonderful isolation during the week + being the off season.actually have to force myself to slow down.
Good place to camp. One of the last state parks in Missouri that still rent kayaks and canoes.
Having a blast with the family. Hot dog's and burgers on an open grill. Taking in the freedom while we still have it. To bad the lake is shut down, or I'd be swimming.
There are restrooms and SHOWERS available for paid campers at NO extra cost. They offer 2 washers and dryers as well for a small fee (I think $1.00- $1.50). There is firewood and ice for purchase along with a store that offers books, toys and the toiletries you may have lost or forgot ie. Toothpaste! Lol The restrooms are cleaned twice a day (closed during this time) and they have installed hand soap!
This place was filled with a life. From mushrooms to people. There was one campsite that had like 30 mid east Indians and all their kids, but, it was fun none the less. It would have been better if they used more discretion toward the other campers. The 3 people across from us left a day early due to that issue. Me, I don't let someone else's good time ruin mine. I had a blast!
Normally, I really enjoy spending time in this park. The Buffalo gnats were terrible this weekend and the water quality was equally as bad. Possibly from the swimming allowed. Fishing here is pretty good. They have kayak and canoe rentals. Great trails for hiking. Clean shower house in season for campers. Also, nature programming available.
We stayed in sp#95. We were flooded out once again! These are the best people on earth. Not only do they love this park. They care about their community. Will always be glad to have discovered this beautiful place
