Had my Volvo with a Cummins engine brought to this shop. They recommended new batteries to get voltage readings up. Truck had been losing its prime and not wanting to run continuously. Bill said they spent 7 1/2 hours trying to find why the truck was losing prime. After 2 days I happened to drive to the lot and noticed my truck wasn’t being serviced and had been sitting all day. Upon pulling in and talking to the shop manager bill, I was informed of all these hours that was spent working on the truck at 169 a hour. I decided to pay the 1800 dollar bill at that point and take my truck because they were charging hours and were not finding the problem. After paying the 1800 and going out to my truck it wouldn’t even start. I informed staff and they kinda laughed as if charging hours doesn’t mean they fix it or even find the problem. They said it could take 20 hours to find the problem and that still doesn’t mean they can fix it. It’s amazing a Cummins can operate like that or mechanics in this industry can do people like that and continue coming to “work”. I have a Cummins engine and they were not able or willing to fix the truck but was quick to charge their rates.

Husband of Shane Jones…. He pretty much summed it up in his review, just giving another 1 star review to let it be known how disappointed we were with their “service. ” Terrible!

It's really sad that with a name as reputable as Cummins that this service shop can put the Cummins name on the front of their building! My motorhome sat at this shop for just shy of 2 months. I requested the fuel filter, fuel separator, air dryer filter, and air filter be changed. I requested a radiator flush, and also requested the generator checked out, although I didn't expect any issues as it only has 215 hours on it. Every now and then there's a small drip of oil on my driveway after a long drive. I asked them to see if they could determine where this is coming from, and if it should be a concern. They were also to grease/lube the chassis. Apparently this facility is so antiquated (according to Bill) that it can't accommodate a motorhome the size of mine. It's only 43' long. However, this is supposedly the reason they had the unit for almost 2 months, they didn't have a bay available to lift and grease the chassis. The unit sat for so long that the chassis battery ran down and it seems as though I paid a diesel mechanic $160/hr to charge my batteries that ran down due to their incompetence. Every day they worked on it, the mechanic notated in his "diary" (which you get to read on your invoice print out) how the batteries ran down and he had to charge them (the batteries are less than a year old). In the end, I paid $398 for parts, and $1600 in labor to be told my generator is in fine condition, and they weren't able to find any oil leaks. After sitting outside in the sun for almost 2 months and $2200 out of pocket, I've got a flushed radiator, new air, fuel filter/fuel separator, air dryer filter, and a greased chassis. I will be looking for Cummins service somewhere else other than STL. The Fenton location works on generators, but they're not equipped to work on main engines, the Hall Street location works on larger engines but apparently their facility is so antiquated it's worthless. Don't bother going here especially with a motorhome.very disappointing and expensive for what you get!

Unfortunately absolute worst experience in my life with the generator service department person Bill. Apparently it takes 3 -4 visits to repair a generator without success. 2 of my generators still leak oil and shut down. And since he cancelled my appointments and just let my trucks sit on the lot without touching them, I lost a ton of work hours. Bill just simply replied, "Go somewhere else because we are incompetent. " So I did. Thankfully there is an alternative in Fenton where they do what they say and their repairs are successful!
