Italian Restaurant Cupini's reviews
19Twas the night before Sunday. December 5th. All the people were scurrying on The Plaza and not a restaurant was available. There was my sister, mother, and me. Starving as could be. Until we stumbled upon Cupini’s, on what was quickly turning into a Scrooge-y eve. The staff was swift and the food was a gift. Wrapped with marinara and ribbons of ooey-gooey cheese. It cured my sisters headache and silenced my sardonic humor leaving my mother in that peaceful bliss that gives every mother the chance to remember she actually does adore her children.
Usually when I come into this restaurant it’s very warm and inviting. But earlier today when I came in for dinner I notice one of the staffs being incredibly rude to one of their server. I could tell she was having a very difficult time and seem over work. She made on little mistake and they made into a big deal. I hope the waiter will get the respect that she deserves.
One of the best Italian restaurants we've ever ate at. We loved everything we ordered. The only thing I would recommend is looking at the menu online before you go in if it's your first visit. You order as soon as you walk in instead of at the table so I had to make a quick choice about what I wanted. Luckily we all made a good choice.
We love Cupini's _ our 3rd year to purchase their Thanksgiving special! It is beyond expectations! The turkey was seasoned so well.the stuffing was moist and perfect.the gravy was out of this world delicious, as were the green beans and mashed potatoes! THEY MADE THIS MEAL INCREDIBLE AGAIN THIS YEAR! We highly recommend a bottle of limoncello or limecello too!
They have an awesome italian panini at cupinis. Love the mozzarella and tomatoes and a slice of cheesecake to top it off. A taste extravaganza you'll be happy you stopped by. Your mouth will call you brilliant.
Absolutely my favorite Italian easy restaurant in KC. It doesn't get any better quality Italian with fast service.
I am not really a customer for Cupini’s, but I deliver for Doordash. I pick up from this place a few times a day, and it is by far my favorite restaurant in KC to work with. The people woking up front are always so polite, and always make me feel welcome. They work very hard to make sure my order is correct and on time. They do get very busy, but they always keep me updated on the order without me having to ask.
Personally, I have never had a customer message me after a delivery and say something is missing — unlike many other restaurants I work with.
Thank y’all for such a positive experience delivering in this area.
Absolutely amazing. Made from scratch pasta with huge servings for a very affordable price. The pumpkin cheesecake was breathtaking and the service is great. I would’ve gone back the next day but I didn’t want them to know I’m obsessed.
Great service. Got the cannoli, definitely tasted like there was some kinda liquor in it. Almost had a tiramisu taste to it, much different from traditional.
Soo good, even though they are very popular the wait times are completely reasonable. And the food is always delicious
Delicious, food with a variety of great options, and friendly, helpful staff. Love this place!
My husband and I both ended up with food poisoning after eating here. The restaurant floors were sticky and dirty. The food was way over priced also! I would recommend to stay away from this place.
The meat lasagna was fantastic! Never been here before now but all the food looks great. Would definitely recommend
Executing on all your Italian favorites with perfection, Cupini's makes Italian counter service feel like gourmet!
The prepared food section is enough to sweep you off your feet. On top of that, they offer an eat in portion to their shop that is wonderful. We had the margarita pizza and the Alfredo cheese tortellini. Both were superb. We also bought chicken Parmesan from the prepared section to take home and it was wonderful!
This is in regards to catering. Cupini’s came highly recommended to me as a catering option for a birthday dinner I hosted. Several people in our party are vegetarian including the birthday person. Cupinis is not vegetarian friendly and that is fine. Restaurants do not need to be and I wish I had made a different choice. The only thing on the catering menu was veggie lasagna. I asked that it be made without broccoli but that could not be done. I am allergic to broccoli and had to serve a main dish I could not eat. They allowed me to order the fettuccine off their main menu but I had to order 8 portions which came in individual plastic containers. I knew that would happen and went ahead with it but it was cold on arrival. The salads were nothing special. I love the restaurant and imagine the catering is great for people who eat meat. The arrangements went well too.
Cupini's catered my wedding this past weekend. The food was incredible and the staff was friendly. Our guests bragged about how great everything was especially the Lasagna. 5 stars from us!
We went for the first time on a Sat.night. Loved the quaint atmosphere, but were not impressed with the food. I've seen several reviews complaining about the chicken piccata. I would have to concur. It was several thin pieces of anemic looking chicken in a watery tasteless sauce. Not appetizing at all. I had a piece of carrot cake for dessert and didn't care for big chunks of pineapple. I do put pineapple in carrot cake, but crushed, not big chunks. We had hoped for a better experience, but left hungry and disappointed.
Hands down the worst pizza we have ever had. Ordered a 4 cheese, had splotches of green and tasted like chemicals. Immediately spit it out and threw it away. Don't waste your money.
