CVS, Nixa MO

I go to several CVS stores in my area. The only one of them that I would not recommend is the one at National and Republic Rd in South Springfield. I purchased a blood pressure monitor here and had the receipt sent to my email and since it never was delivered I cannot return it for nothing more than store credit. The reason I can't recommend it is that the manager said that unless she had the receipt that the only thing that she could do was to give me STORE credit. So I guess I should have brought the monitor at Walmart or Sam's club instead, and from now on I will.

The pharmacy is the only okay thing about this store. My wife has an extremely bad immune system, due to chemotherapy. We bought Insure brand milk shakes to help her weight because she cant eat much. Only to find out, after she drank a little bit, that expired FOUR MONTHS ago! FOUR MONTHS. She got sick from that. Nobody is managing what is on the shelves. CHECK THE DATES ON EVERYTHING YOU BUY AT THIS STORE!

The lady at the desk was totally rude! Saying "ma'am" does not mean you're being polite. I'll never come back here.

I dropped off a ups package and no one at counter.about 60 feet away a lady said just leave it there. I said I needed a receipt. She told me cvs does not issue ups receipts. All this from across the store. So if you need a receipt drive the 30 minutes into Springfield and use the ups store.

I'm not sure I've ever given a review.so when I made up my mind that the pharmacy staff service was rude enough to write a review, and I came to this page to see all the others horrible experiences. I felt better about leaving this. I would leave negative stars if I could. I was honestly speechless at the way I was talked to today on the phone, after asking a simple yes or no answer. It doesn't take skills to be a nice human being.unbelievable that people could speak in that fashion and still have a job!

Customer service is awful. Most of the time you stand at the pharmacy and ignored, no someone will be with you shortly, just silence, today I stood there for 5 minutes, finally just left. This has been the case several times.

The pharmacy Closed a few minutes early and the staff laughed about it as I was walking away from the counter. Had to drive back into Springfield to get post op meds.
One ️ is too many!

The teenager that they promoted to “store manager” treats employees terribly and spends her time sitting in the office, eating food with her friends and leaving the tasks for the cashier or other supervisors to do. She doesn’t help out when the lines are backed up and literally told a woman “I’m busy” when the customer asked if she was helping check out. She constantly argued with customers and talked to them like they were idiots and the things she said about employees behind their backs was horrible. The store went downhill so fast and was extremely cluttered and messy with boxes and trash everywhere. I loved working for CVS but the poor treatment to both customers and employees was so appalling that I quit.

The pharmacy department is very unprofessional in the several times I've picked up prescriptions. Last week I called to see if one was ready after I got a new prescription from the doctor, and the pharmacy tech informed me they couldn't fill it unless I called the Dr then had the Dr call them, and then she said it was a controlled substance and they couldn't fill it early. It is not early and she gave me lots of excuses why i shouldnt fill my meds there. I had the doctor send it elsewhere with no trouble at all.

The pharmacy is terrible. I switched here from Walgreens in Nixa like 6 months ago because they never have a line outside compared to Walgreens. Well, now I know why no one comes here. All of my meds they always have issue with insurance and it takes days & days to get anything approved. Everything at Walgreeens gets approved same day or next without issues. Definitely switching all my meds back to Walgreens and will just deal with the long lines there.

For a “pharmacy” they were out of many common OTC items. The children’s OTC is a joke. Pharmacist tried to help, but he even acknowledged how little they had and how much a $hit show this store has become.

This place was horrible. I have went here for medication several times because it is the only place covered by my insurance. They are always very rude and have never once been helpful. I’ve had bronchitis for 3 weeks, and when they got my medication prescription, they said it wouldn’t be ready for another week. Now I only have something minor but imagine if someone had something serious and they had to wait a week to get their meds. On another occasion, the minute clinic sent in an urgent prescription and they told me they didn’t have it. It became a huge deal and they had to call the minute clinic to have it sent over for a second time. Which they still couldn’t find on their system. This all would have been fine if they weren’t extremely rude about it, and acted like doing their job was a chore. Then the minute clinic doctor called me personally and asked why I hadn’t picked up the prescription sooner…. Umm because they told me it wasn’t ready? They do this all the time. If they want my business then do better.

During a recent visit, my 18 year old daughter was treated extremely disrespectfully while picking up a single box of cereal. She was able to locate the cereal on her own, but then spent about 10 minutes at the counter, waiting for an associate to acknowledge and assist her because there is no self check out at this location. All of the associates and the manager were more concerned with receiving their paychecks than they were with providing customer service for a person who was in the store. This is unfortunate because I had previously shopped at this location. Often my job now takes me out of the area, so I am not in the store as much as I used to be. Perhaps retraining would benefit these employees, because your direct competitor, Walgreens, is directly across the intersection and people will absolutely take their business elsewhere if they feel they are treated with disrespect.

Typically not one to leave reviews but I returned a package here. The cashier was unprofessional and expressed that I "didn't look like I knew what I was doing".

CVS was excellent in helping get my son the medication he needed for Pneumonia. They stayed a few minutes late to make sure we got what we needed. We will definitely be going back.
