D. Rowe's Restaurant & Bar reviews
15First time to eat here. Great local bar vibe with excellent smoked meats. Good selection of beer on tap. Generous portions. First time to try portabella fries, a treat! Will be back.
Ordered 75 wings for a bonfire. They were ready when scheduled to be picked up and they were delicious! Will get them again for next year!
Excellent time after time. Try everything you can on the menu. You will not be disappointed.
We have a family with very different preferences in food and D. Rowe’s had something for everyone!
We started off with the nachos + chicken and portobello mushroom fries - the mushroom fries were a pass, but the nachos + chicken were a major hit. Every chip had something on it and did we absolutely fill up on appetizers? 100%. But no regrets there.
We ordered brisket sandwich (yum), rotisserie chicken (meat was tad bit dry, nothing a little bbq sauce can’t fix, skin was crispy how I liked it), Cajun catfish (a little heavy on the salt, otherwise delish). For sides, definitely get the waffle fries which were super crispy.
Service was amazing, our waiter was cracking jokes with us and made sure baby was entertained during our meal with some crackers. After our meal we were gonna literally roll out of the restaurant, they gave us soft-baked chocolate chip cookies for dessert (which they kindly packed up for us to go).
We would def come back again whenever we’re back in Columbia.
We had a wedding rehearsal dinner in their private dinning area. Kaden took great care of us with drinks and taking care of the buffet. He was professional and efficient. My guests were taken care of. We had the prime rib, it was a bit overcooked. We had to ask for steak knives, it was not as moist and pink on the inside as it should have been. The salmon was perfect along with the broccoli and mashed potatoes. The salad and rolls rounded out the meal nicely. The room was comfortable and looked nice, we had linens and silverware.
Just went in as a delivery driver for another service to pick up an order. Woman with blonde curly hair at the bar, totally rude. Used to love this place but made me think again.
This was the best meal out I've eaten in a long time. The food was superb, the server was top notch, and no wait. I've never had a bad meal at D. Rowe's and tonight was no exception. Just a great place to eat!
Being that we are from out of town, I asked for a recommendation for a restaurant that has a ton of Mizzou character. D Rowe's is where we were told to go. It is an excellent restaurant. We had the wings and portobello fried and loved, loved, loved them. I am sure everything on the menu is fabulous.
I have been going to D. Rowe’s for many years now. Absolutely love the smoke wings. They are the best wings I have found anywhere. I don’t live anywhere close and drive hours out of my way to eat here. Do yourself a favor and get in here!
Was told best french dip in como-I highly disagree! First, the au jus was tasteless. Had to salt and pepper it to get any flavor. 2nd, some of the beef on the sandwich was stone cold and the beef in general was really dried out. Onion rings for my side- they retain alot of oil from the deep fryer. All and all, will never get the french dip there again.
Food was good. The macaroni and cheese is the best! We had a table of 16 and the food came out at a decent time and staff was very tentative. Would go back if I ever go back through there.
There were 4 of us. Seated right away at 5pm. Hostess and server both were very nice and friendly. The guys had the BBQ Feast and we got a pulled pork sandwich and a turkey melt sandwich, both with fruit and both amazing! The men we were with are big eaters both neither could finish their plate and took home enough for another meal. Restaurant got really busy, we were glad we got there at 5pm. Place was clean, nice cozy atmosphere, amazing food, friendly staff and average prices, we will visit again soon!
We had pork tenderloin sand which and smoked chicken wings both were very good and our server was extremely welcoming and attentive.
Simply put, good food and generous portions. The baked potato was huge. This is less a negative and more a warning, don't order the green beans unless you have a HIGH tolerance for pepper. Geez, those green beans were spicy!
