My child has been there just over two years and absolutely loves it. I have seen personal growth from his experience and an improvement in his level of responsibility.

Our family have been students of Dave Hanson’s Karate for over a dozen years. Our kids have grown into amazing young adults partly due to the lessons learned at the Dojo. My wife and I still attend and enjoy each and every class. The Dojo keeps our mind and body fresh by challenging us both physically and mentally. Sensei Dave creates a welcoming environment that makes learning fun and easy. Definitely recommend his Dojo for kids and adults alike!

Gateway Karate is a fantastic dojo, with a nurturing space for kids and a rewarding experience for adults. Sensei Dave is warm and devoted to teaching people of all ages how best to achieve their potential. I cannot recommend it enough.

My son has been going to the dojo for almost 6 years. He gets physical activity, he has better confidence, and he is being taught leadership skills. My son has been taught great self defense skills. The teachers are all great and very caring. I plan to put my next child in class at the dojo as well.

This place is amazing! I signed up two teenage girls here and the staff was so welcoming that they felt comfortable instantly.

My son Lucas started at 5 1/2 and I can’t say enough great things about the Sensei and his team. Lucas can be a little unfocused but they never stopped working with him. He has been at this dojo for a little over a year and loves it. Everyone is so welcoming and he’s Part of the black belt club. The two junior Sensei are wonderful with the kids and truly are passionate about karate. Would highly recommended for anyone on your kiddo learning true karate, focus, dedication and skills for protecting yourself.

I grew up going through the Gateway Karate program, and it made me the person I am today! It taught me values and lessons I couldn’t learn anywhere else. I took a break from Karate while attending high school. I was drawn back to the program and found myself with an instructing job! Gateway Karate has provided me with the best job in the world, amazing life values I wouldn’t have gotten anywhere else, and of course, the karate and self defense skills I know. Great program with great people!
