Dayton Freight- Kansas City, Grandview MO

Office called and scheduled delivery with a time window of 9am to 3pm on a Wed. 3pm came and went, no one from the freight company called to update me on where the package was. I finally called at 4pm inquiring where my delivery was and was told it wasn't going to be delivered and they can try for Thursday or Friday. I scheduled for Thursday and asked for a smaller time window so they said 9am to 12pm. Delivery driver showed up at 12: 15pm.

They have no respect for people's time. I received one very empty apology from the office when I called but nothing from the driver that was late. Poor customer service.

Wouldn't recomend at all. Ordered a generator from ebay, the seller was fantastic, the seller used Dayton Freight to deliver the generator. We were told Dayton freight would contact us to set up an appointment and the did. The appointment was for between the hours of 9: 00-11: 00 am. The morning of our appointment my husband and I took off work to make sure we were home for the generator to be delivered, we both took off work because the generator is over 200 lbs so it couldn't be moved with just one person. 9: 00-11: 00 pm passed and Dayton freight hadn't shown up yet so at 12: 30 we contacted them we were told it was on it's way and would be there within an hour, another hour came and went, still NOTHING so we contacted them again we were told it was on it's way again, more time went by, we contacted them AGAIN we were told 10-20 minutes, finally at almost 4: 00 pm we saw Dayton freight pull I'm in the neighborhood beside us, as we live in a secluded area close to a subdivision. The driver sat there for 10 minutes and I finally got into my car and drove over to him, we had to put the generator into the trunk of my car, a small Acura and drive it over to my house to make a long story short. We both missed work because we expected them to be there for the appointment time, we both could have went to work that day and not missed out on money we need for our family. It would have been nice to have at least have a little communication on there end telling us they were running behind. Dont make appointments if your not going to stick with them. Were not happy and dont suggest Dayton freight at all.
