Deerfield Inn & Suites, Steele MO

Look, this place is really close to an Adult Video Store so don't think you're going to be getting anything fancy here. My room was dated. Furniture definitely needs an overhaul. And they don't understand the concept of table lamps (they're none). But, surprisingly enough, the room was clean and the bed was OK. I slept, was rested, and was able to continue driving after my 10 hrs.

Rooms were dirty. Sheets clean. No smoking room, but the covering had burns in fabric. This is in Steele, Mo. Electric /lights/plug was very unstable!

On the way driving to New Orleans on 3/11/2022 we had to pull off the roads because they were super icy. We ended up at this place. $74 bucks on a Friday night for the room.which was essentially a low budget motel. Unfortunately we were given a smoking room because it was their last vacancy. Room #108. As soon as I walked in the room I noticed a bullet hole in the bathroom door. After Googling to see if there was a shooting at this hotel I was disturbed to find that there was in fact a double shooting just the previous year. It really disturbed me and kept me up all night just knowing that something happened in the very room I was in. Aside from my room being a crime scene to a double shooting, it was also dingy and not very well maintained. It smelled like an old ash tray which had soaked into every surface of the room.
To be fair I looked everywhere and did not find any bugs.not even one and it was quiet all night despite being located right off the highway. Still, it wasn’t my cup of tea and if I'm ever in the area and the roads are icy again I will just keep on driving lol but that’s just me

I work construction all over our great country and this was perfect for what I needed. Clean room, friendly staff, a small but full size refrigerator, and they do in house wash and fold service. All at a weekly rate that reasonable.

I cannot recommend this place enough, and it’s all because of the staff. No 5-star hotel has staff like the one at Deerfield Inn & Suites. We found this hotel because we were driving through Steele on I-55 the night of the storm of Dec 10th. Visibility was low, rain was too heavy to keep driving to Memphis, it was hailing, and there were tornadoes. We got off the highway to seek shelter and we tried a gas station first and they didn’t want to let us in. We then went to the Deerfield Inn & Suites and they let us stay for a couple of hours at their lobby with our dog while waiting for the storm to pass. The town had no electricity. It was very scary and these people saved us. I don’t have enough words to thank them for their hospitality and their help during a very scary time.

I'm here now, Us Veteran! Trucker! They are right next to the truck stop truckers! The truck stop has liquor and chicken! Boom! Lol, the motel is perfect for this driver and bed is big no bugs it has it all and it is very decent! Especially if you're a driver!

Yes on dogs! Better than motel 6!
