Delmar Gardens of Chesterfield reviews
8My mom has been here for 6+ yrs (got Parkinsons at a young age), and they are amazing! They really do treat you like family. As a nurse myself, I’m saddened when I read through some of the other reviews. Having to put a loved one in a nursing home is not a celebratory event, so expectations need to be realistic. No nursing home can be perfect, it’s not possible, especially now with the COVID crisis causing staffing issues. But when we’ve had an issue, it’s been brought to management and dealt with/resolved almost immediately. They really do go above and beyond, and I wouldn’t want mom at any other place)
My maw maw went here, cockroaches and staff was nasty. My maw maw found a cockroach in her food everyday. I DONT RECOMMEND.
My mother stayed here for under 2 weeks because of how poorly she was treated. Would not recommend.
My Great Grandfather stayed here and it was terrible. He's Blind so he needs a lot of patience and verbal instructions before doing anything near him or touching him at all. However not only did they not tell him when they touched him they also hurt him while getting him out of the car we were transporting him with. Not only did they barely ever tell him what they were doing they almost hit him head on the brim of the car if I hadn't put my hand in the way to block it. Also they don't even make sure he eats or tell them what he's eating or where the food is at. This nursing home doesn't provide the proper care for disabilities at all except a wheelchair and paper explaining things. But how the hell can my great grandfather read the papers if he's blind? ! Honestly the only good thing is they got him a chair, but we've been asking for it for him for a month already. Ever since my great grandfather got put in this nursing home he's basically lost his will to live and doesn't care anymore. The accommodations for the blind at the nursing home is terrible and needs to be fixed ASAP. If there was an option I would give a -5/5 stars.
I agree 100% with Naomi green review of this place. If you are a contractor nurse stay away from this facility they will steal hours thus money from you by putting in the wrong time and not giving you the full pay for hours worked. I worked 8.5 hrs, danyel weaver LIED that she would correct this. I was paid for 8 hrs not 8.5. It is NOT my fault that their lazy staff don’t come in on time. If a facility needs outside help that should tell you everything you need to know about them. Called administrator today and she hasn’t returned my call. This is theft! I don’t care if it was 15 mins.these people don’t want to pay for ALL hours worked.
My father has been at Delmar Gardens for over a year, and i am so happy with the support and care that my father has received from Jeremy and his staff. He feels comfortable and safe and seems to be happier, and the staff always answers any of my questions, are quick to respond, and have taken care of my father expertly with his ongoing medical conditions. I highly recommend Delmar Gardens of Chesterfield.
No one cares, especially the administrator. Most people are there just to collect a check. If I could give no stars, I would.
I think this is a great facility we live in a world with a lot of complainers and you can't please them
