16Our waitress is amazing. She is often the only waitress for the entire restaurant. Even though I can tell she's very tired, she still puts a smile on her face and does her job very well!
Unable to rate the food or atmosphere, but since the restaurant was closed at 4: 30 P. M.due to 'lack of staff', I would have to say the service was terrible.
Had breakfast wasn't the best wasn't the worst service was good just okay in a pinch
Update: Lunch again on 8/8/23. We are creatures of habit but also really like the Bourbon Chicken Skillets. One plus about the skillets is that your food definitely stays hot the whole time! Lisa S was our server this time. She was amazing! Very attentive and more than met our expectations. Granted. Our time there was just after the lunch crowd so she had more time to watch over us. Nowadays it can be difficult to keep good help but Lisa and the kitchen staff were a good team. I know we'll be back again.

Stopped in at the Denny's on hwy 291 in Independence, MO. We had two of the Bourbon Chicken Skillets. They were very good and piled high enough that we'll get a couple more meals out of our leftovers. Also, we can never resist the Puppies no matter what time of dsy it is. Our server, Tara, was great!
Worst service ever.
When we got to the restaurant, we sat down and I looked over to see the WAITRESS TAKINH FOOD OFF OF AN OLDER LADYS PLATE AND EAT A FRENCH FRY OFF OF IT AND THEN SERVE HER PLATE TO HER ALL WHILE TALKING TO HER LIKE SHE DIDNT DO ANYTHING WRONG! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR STAFF DENNYS? THAT IS DISGUSTING AND SHE SHOULD BE FIRED! THIS HAPPENED ON MONDAY, AUGUST 7TH, 2023 IN THE AFTERNOON.
THEN SHE WAS OVERHEARD YELLING THAT ANOTHER CUSTOMER DID NOT LEAVE HER A TIP. SO, I DID NOT LEAVE HER A TIP EITHER OBVIOUSLY.
WE WILL NEVER BE BACK. EVER!
Took an hour to get pancakes, eggs and bacon. Claimed they had one cook, a trainee and the manager was helping out in the kitchen. Saw several people enter after we did, get their food and leave before our food arrived. Waitress should have been paying more attention to the situation. Instead she was just standing around in the prep area doing nothing. Very poorly managed establishment.
I am a regular here. There were signs up for a long while saying that they would be open until 1am now. Which was great because I don't get off until 11pm and I work in downtown kc. So by the time I get here (which is right up the street from my house) it's 1130pm. They always tell me they are closed. All I want to do us go in and have dinner after working 10+hours and go home and go to bed. This is my favorite place to eat I know the staff and they all know me. But now I am forced to go eat at the one on Noland road which I hate because the foods not as good and the staff just doesn't care about the service you receive. I've been told on more than one occasion that it's due to short staffing and people seem to always quit their jobs there. So something needs to be done because now I can't eat there thanks to my work schedule.
Sat there for 30 minutes and waited for a server and nothing.no drink order or food order.
Although there was a mixup in the order (didn't take notes while taking the order). It was awesome.
I love crispy hash browns!
The sausages were good and Eggs were cooked to order great!
All around horrible experience. Everyone got their food before us, we didn’t get silverware until we asked multiple multiple times. Didn’t know who was waiting us. The best part was the taste of the food. If I ever come back it’ll be a long time, if.

Super friendly waitress, delicious food, reasonable prices. New and longtime employees were all great.
After a very long wait for breakfast, my "over easy" eggs were hard, my hash browns not quite fully cooked, and the pancakes served totally cold. Our poor server tried, but didn't have much support.
On Sunday 7/9/23 I went with a friend and we had to wait about an hour to get our food. We asked for drinks and it took them a while to get those to the table. It looks like this manager does not know how to manage the kitchen nor the employees. They did a lot of walking (employees) but not a lot of serving.
A man who was waiting for his take out order left because they were taking too long and when we got our drinks my friend had tea and it was too strong. I had to tell the girl that I am a diabetic and needed my food because my sugar was dropping. (I am diabetic and so is my friend and we were hungry)
Customer was lacking big y me.
On a scale from 1-10 this Denny's rated a 4 and that's only because the waitress was pleasant.
Also something else I did not appreciate was that someone older, from the kitchen I assume, came out with an order for someone and talked with they customer for about 10 minutes.
Apparently she also works somewhere else too, was referring this person to go apply at the other place.a factory I think. Instead of promoting the place she was in (Denny's). She even took the time to write down the number and the section to apply for. Meanwhile we are still waiting for our food
The cleanliness of the place was not very good either. I would not go back there again.
Took over an hour for our food…. Ridiculous. Came here in February and had the same issue, thought it was just a one time issue. No, this place is just slow. Wasting my time, thank you.
Pretty sad that we try to eat at this location and they refuse service when they closed at 1 and we came at 12 but they can sit outside and smoke very poor and sad for Denny's business don't ever come to this location
