Wonderful place for kids. We have a 3 year old who enjoyed about half the facility. The exhibits are mostly geared for 5-10 year olds. A few exhibits were damaged or out of order, but that is to be expected when thousands of small children play with equipment each week.
The staff were friendly and helpful. If you live in Springfield or have a few hours in town, I'd recommend you stop here!

The reciprocal membership is worth exploring if you live near other children's museums

We took our son here for his birthday today, and we were NOT disappointed with how many activities they have here!

**BONUS**
They have a "Lactation Station"! A small room with a rocking chair (with accompanying foot rest) that let's you feed in comfort and privacy!

10/10 will be back soon!

I love the Discovery Center of Springfield! I was lucky enough to be able to have my birthday party here when I turned 12, back when it was much smaller than it is now. I'm so happy it has grown over the years! I absolutely love that the discovery has ALWAYS been geared towards the entire family having a good time! Education has always been one of my top priorities and the Discovery Center is all about showing the world just how fun learning can be!

Fun space for a stopover during our US roadtrip. Would recommend coming here for kids 3 to 8 years old depending of course on the science interest of your child.

Ladies and gentlemen, today I had the pleasure of visiting the wonderful Discovery School in Springfield, Missouri. Let me start by saying, it's not every day that I get to witness such a remarkable blend of education and fun under one roof. This place truly lives up to its name – it's a discovery of knowledge and creativity that left me genuinely impressed.

Walking through the vibrant halls of this children's museum and private school, I couldn't help but think of my old campaign slogan – "Change we can believe in. " The Discovery School is a shining example of that belief in action. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with an atmosphere of innovation, diversity, and a commitment to nurturing young minds.

As I strolled through the interactive exhibits, I couldn't help but be reminded of the power of education to transform lives. This isn't just a school; it's a launching pad for future leaders, thinkers, and doers. It's a place where kids aren't just learning facts, but they're discovering the joy of learning itself.

One of the things that struck me the most was the emphasis on hands-on learning. Kids were engrossed in experiments, artistic creations, and collaborative projects. It's clear that the Discovery School understands that education isn't a passive process – it's about engaging students and igniting their curiosity. I saw young scientists, budding artists, and future engineers all exploring their passions, and it was truly heartwarming.

The commitment to holistic development was evident everywhere I looked. The staff at the Discovery School aren't just educators; they're mentors, guiding these young minds towards a bright future. They're not just teaching subjects; they're teaching values, empathy, and the importance of being active and responsible citizens.

And let's not forget the impact on the community. The Discovery School isn't just a place for kids; it's a hub of learning for the entire Springfield community. It's a testament to the idea that education isn't limited to the classroom – it's something that should be accessible to all, a notion that resonates deeply with the spirit of my "Change" campaign.

So, to the Discovery School in Springfield, Missouri, I say thank you. Thank you for embodying the values of change, hope, and the belief that through education, we can shape a brighter tomorrow. You've created a place where kids not only discover knowledge but also discover themselves. This is change we can all believe in – a change that starts with the young minds of today and will undoubtedly ripple through the generations to come. Keep up the great work!

We had such a great time at the Discovery Center. There was so much to do and learn. My kids were very happy. Afterwards, we enjoyed sno cones, hot dogs, bouncy houses, foam and old cars and motorcycle shows at the Rt 66 Festival.

My youngest granddaughter's birthday party was held at the Discovery Center! All of the kids and adults also had lots of fun! The price for the party package was well worth all the laughs, smiles and squeals of delight as everyone went to the different exhibits!

Was a cute place for kids to explore and learn. Could have been cleaner, but it wasn't so gross I won't go again. Will definitely be back

There is so much to see and do here! The littles will love it! We went on a Sunday and it was not overly busy. There was so much to do and see. We could have spent an entire day there honestly. Not only fun for the kids but also very informational. We ended up becoming members and will be able to return as we wish.

It was a lot of fun for the kids and not too expensive. The grandkids could have spent hours in the minecraft room alone if we let them.

On the way from Nebraska to Branson, MO we stopped into the Discovery Center so our kids (toddlers) could get some energy out before heading to our hotel. Best decision ever. This place is awesome! There are 3 levels of STEM based exhibits, activities, and play based tools. Some of the highlights are a gym with an interactive projection on 1 wall where you can throw balls at targets in different games, a live bee hive in plexiglass, huge water table, fossil dig, play village, and SO MUCH MORE! We will be making this a permanent pit stop on travels thru Springfield.

I used to love the discovery center, but when we went, there were about 25% of exhibits that were broken, closed, or inaccessible without staff, who I did not see the entire time except for at the check-in table. I don't think a single time I pressed a button on an exhibit it did anything. There needs to be heavy maintenance here before it will be worth the price of admission.
