Bar Docknockers Original reviews
15THE BEST PLACE EVER! The food is delicious! The service was excellent and the atmosphere was outstanding! My husband and I had such a great time celebrating our anniversary here! We will definitely be back!
Great local bar with an amazing outdoor space. People are friendly and drinks are good. Very fun environment for everyone
This was our first time here. We loved the food. They recommend you give a funny name for when they announce your food is ready, we thought this was hilarious. The bartender was very friendly and quick with drinks. We will definitely be back.
Decor is delightful, food was good, but our server had a real attitude.oh, wait- it's self serve! Bahahahahaha! The Steak Sliders were SO tender!
This is a 'bucket' of shrimp. Gross frozen popcorn shrimp. Beach bread was hard cheese. Dad liked his shrimp tacos, that's about it
I really wanted to love this place, however, we never got our food. We ordered 4 entrees and at least 3 apps. The line was shut down while we waited due to the kitchen backing up (granted, this was a holiday weekend). It took 45-60 minutes standing in line before we could order. After waiting another hour for our food, we canceled our orders and left. The guys in the kitchen were very young and unprofessional; they argued, joked, and messed around the entire time. They didn't communicate well with the young ladies who were taking orders to the point that their combative demeanor made it tense to watch their interactions. You could tell the order takers were at the mercy of the kitchen and they were just taking their sweet *** time.
I'd love to return in the future, but it won't be during a busy time. My husband brought me a mixed drink from the bar while I waited and it was good!
We really enjoy Docknockers. There menu is NOT the typical burgers and pizza you get at all the other lake restaurants. The blackened grouper tacos are delicious and probably my favorite! The staff are fun and attentive and the owner will sit and have a conversation with you when he's there. Beautiful view of the main channel and plenty of boat parking. Dog friendly, people friendly too! They'll be closing in Oct. So get there fast!
Unbelievable…ordered 3 cheeseburgers took over 2 hours don’t know that I’d ever go back. Might be a good place to hang and drink but don’t order food when they are busy.
My fiancé ate at this restaurant a few hours ago. He got the crab legs which he said tasted off. He felt so ill & painful in his abdomen on his way home that he vomited in his truck multiple times and a friend had to drive him home. He has vomited seven times thus far! We are concerned that he may need to go to the emergency room. I am on the phone with him now ensuring his symptoms don’t progress, he has had some numbness in his fingers. We will be calling in the morning to speak with a manager as this is scary and unacceptable.
Food was great! Atmosphere was awesome had some music. Wish they hadn't been out of peel and eat shrimp and coleslaw. Maybe next time!
Go at lunch time, stay away after dinner. Took over 2 hours to get our food at supper on a Sat night. They don’t have enough help. The atmosphere is rough and not fun in the evening hours on the weekend. You will wait forever for your food. Not kid friendly on weekends after supper time. Ok for lunch.
We were in town visiting friends on our annual trip and went to get some crab, but some kid who was around 13 was very obnoxious. As we pulled up in the no wake zone he went by on the jet ski multiple times with a wake while we were trying to dock, then we just brushed it off and went to get food and drinks but as we ordered drinks he went up behind the bar and kept giving dirty looks to each of us. We had enough and decided to take our drinks to go but as we were leaving he pushed one of us against the wall trying to get down the stairs. They proceeded to get on the jet skis again and harass us as we drove away too. We were very excited for this place and came from an hour away to get the crab. We were very disappointed that a disrespectful unsafe kid had to ruin our experience.
Great food, self service no waitress staff. Fun vibe in the place, good music and clean atmosphere.
The free ice water station was nice on a hot day. A good place to relax after some time on the water. Get something to eat and drink good place to people and boat watch also. The clam strips and chips were piping hot and tasty from the kitchen.
I would not recommend docknockers for a place to get food on the lake. Service is poor and the food matched. Out of most of everything, choice of fries or fries.and the kids working on the kitchen have no clue what they are doing. If you want to sit and watch 20 somethings drink too much and puke in the lake or in the urinal, then this is your place better places on the lake to go so just keep going
